As a lecturer in teacher education, I have often been asked two questions. 1. What do people need to do to be good teachers? 2. What is the best thing about teaching? Well, to be a great teacher, you have to care about your students and about how you will teach lessons even better next time. The best thing about teaching is the students. In my case, I love when students do something amazing. Luckily as a teacher, you get to feel this way often, especially with children because kids are amazing! Often!!! I challenge all educators to remember why you love your job. If you can’t remember, maybe it’s time to do something else because students notice.
