More than ever, regulatory bodies are facing pressures to merge. Amalgamation is the solution of choice for governments hoping to encourage regulatory consistency and eliminate redundancies. This leaves regulators fearing the potential of a negative impact on their independence and quality of oversight. With that in mind, we’re sharing a series of articles on amalgamation in Canada's regulator landscape in partnership with The Regulator's Practice.
