😭😭😭😭😭It's time to start thinking of the new school year. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Many children were likely on ipads and xbox too much this summer. Parents (Aunts/Uncles etc): Here is a DRAFT LETTER you may wish to mail to your child. Edit as you see fit. It works best if you mail it from the post office near the school district. Relevant publications will be added to the comments below. 👇 I hope it helps get kids ready for the new school year. Date: (August 6, 2024 ) FILL HERE RE: SCHOOL Dear Ms. / Mr. (CHILD FIRST AND LAST NAME), I hope that you enjoyed summer! I had a restful summer with my family and caught six striped bass from my kayak (SOMETHING PERSONAL HERE). I look forward to hearing about your summer adventures. Did you enjoy reading (FILL HERE with TITLES of child's summer reading)? It is important that you complete your summer reading goals before (DATE HERE). I am looking forward to the new school year which begins on (DATE HERE) and hope you are too! I am writing to you, (CHILD FIRST NAME HERE), to help get you ready for the school year. Research shows that a good night sleep helps with academic achievement and wellness. ((Note:see comments👇🏼 )). I have sent your parents the research reports and a suggested bed time schedule for you to follow. I know that you probably stayed up late all summer, so now is time to start slowly planning for (DATE HERE, 1st day of school). You will noice that even the sun appears to be going to bed earlier. I love this. Joey is transitioning to the high school this year (8th grade is HS here), and he is anxious. He's been prepping for trying Cross Country this fall, and completing summer reading because they take a quiz on it. We've talked about getting back to a more normal sleep schedule after our vaca next week,
