When we started planning Exchange 2024 (the day after Exchange 2023) I had very few fixed points in the optimization for content. Getting the Cook Political Report was just not a choice. Every election cycle since Bush 2 I've taken every opportunity to get (or see) CPR on stage in election years. In the modern era, they're simply the gold standard of non-partisan political analysis. Why should you care? Because while the disconnects between policy and markets are growing, not shrinking, that actually makes understanding what's real (vs. narrative/fiatnews/opinion) even more important. If you're not familiar, you can see Amy most weeks on Politics Monday (https://lnkd.in/gdg_8PSW), or even better, subscribe to the CPR (https://lnkd.in/gMB5jtZu) ... but either, way, you wont want to miss her insights at Exchange.
👀 Our first speaker reveal 👀 ➡ She's considered one of the best political journalists ➡ Editor-in-Chief of The Cook Political Report ➡ Former political director of ABC News ➡ Member of the Emmy Awards-winning 2006 election night team at CNN We could not be more proud to welcome the legendary Amy Walter as our keynote speaker for #ExchangeETF 2024! Discover the value Amy's bringing to next year's conference: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gNE8hvTv Join Amy in Miami and get your pass today: 🔗 exchangeETF.com

https://lnkd.in/d8USd2N8 #Discussions around the #Telegraph #Takeover interesting perspective thanks to the above article however I am curious as to some of tge strategies and need further #research pointers ! Why was it OK for Conrad Black, a Canadian citizen, to own and control various media titles ? A big supporter during the #Thatcher years appeared to be daily prevalent. A high profile #Conservative supporter and loved by the party, it appeared clear to all. Has #British #commerece set a precedent of selling the family silver in every single sector, not just the #press or #media; usually to the highest bidder, or sometimes the only bidder? what's the big deal suddenly? freedom and democracy will not hinge on this one transaction! Will it?

29 years delivering cultural relevance for and with brands | Evolving the brand playbook to unlock good growth | Author ‘Culture-Led Brands’ 2025
If you think the ruling by the ICJ on the forensically delivered evidence-based claim brought by South Africa against a poorly defended Israel on behalf of Palestine doesn’t affect your brand or company….think again. An explainer of the claim: https://lnkd.in/eiTTAaVm For us, born and raised in the Global South, the ‘Third World’ this is a defining moment in history for the injustices that has always been stacked against us….and a huge amount at stake for the world. And for me, born in a multi-colonised country running straight through my bloodline and raised in apartheid until I was 21 with no voice (before the internet)…to see my country, my leader Mandela’s Rainbow Nation, South Africa be THE voice for the oppressed has never been a prouder moment and the poetic justice has not been lost on me. TikTok had to put out a statement that the huge spike in support for Palestine was not due to the algorithm, but simply that GenZ are driving it: https://lnkd.in/e8jWVeRn No matter the outcome of this landmark case, we have seen with our own eyes live and shared from the ground by journalists who have been killed (and their families too), the absolute brutality of collective punishment and the deepening humanitarian crisis on the ground on and in Gaza - a hugely disproportionate response to the terrible events of 7 October (and no it didn’t start then) - with the key inflammatory information shared by Israel in the early days DEBUNKED on Israel TV: https://lnkd.in/enwE7akP The bigger picture is that the blindfold about ‘democracy’ & the global security institutions of the Western superpowers, what people have been fed by mainstream media and the censorship by social media has been pulled off - proving that there continues to be a deeply unjust veneer of ‘freedom’ continuing to be underpinned by a contemporary version of colonialism. As much as brands and companies don’t want or potentially even need to be ‘political’, your shareholders, employees and consumers (esp your GenZ target audiences) either have been - everyone has an opinion on this situation whether they are vocal or not - will ALL will be affected by the outcomes. Politics and technology have always impacted culture massively. The truths and nuances that have been revealed is making us all think critically about EVERYTHING we thought we knew (racism, liberation, religion, extremism, stereotypes and much much more) and where and how we get our information from (mis and dis information, propaganda, censorship, etc) will impact both how we move forward together and importantly, this hugely divisive election year. This is a crucial moment for humanity and the world, where the actions we take and the values we uphold will define not just our present, but the legacy we leave for future generations. As always, I hope for a permanent #CeasefireNOW and to #EndTheOccupation
Gift of the Givers on Instagram: "Watch: An Israeli TV host & his 3 Israeli guests discuss, dissect, and debunk some of the awful lies that were told about what happened on Oct 7th (beheaded babies, etc) live on Israeli TV. We have trust in the ICJ delivering a truly JUST judgement tomorrow. Gift of the Givers focus is to help and support the innocent civilians and to attempt to ease their pain an

Western Media: Propaganda Machine CNN and BBC did not broadcast South Africa's presentation of it's International Court of Justice application. Since the 7 October 2024, they have actively covered stories that are pro-Israel and nothing much about the Palestinian perspective. Today, presented a huge opportunity for BBC and CNN to show that they are independent and objective media houses and that their interest is to inform and educate the public but they failed. What is your view of their failure to broadcast today's proceedings? WATCH MY COMMENTS BELOW: https://lnkd.in/gnw-5ikE AMS
