A Good Thing makes it easy for businesses in the United Kingdom to donate unwanted items to local charities, so less goes to landfill and more goes to a good cause. They provide a simple-to-use app, a matchmaking service, a certificate of giving, and recognition of supporters. Businesses are able to post offers for laptops, furniture, food, products, meeting rooms, or anything else they have to give. Young's Pubs has joined forces with SUEZ UK to increase recycling rates across its locations and support communities through a series of local initiatives. These initiatives are helping to keep local areas clean and green whilst also raising vital funds for the pub’s chosen charity, Wooden Spoon Charity. In addition to the community benefits of the partnership, Young’s has also seen an uplift of 5% in recycling rates across all of its pubs. We have launched Room2Give, our latest Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiative that will not only reduce consumption but also enable the Resort and its guests to support local community organisations. Guests staying at the venue’s Woodlands Event Centre or Willows Training Centre for more than one night will be able to choose which of three local charities to support by opting out of room cleaning. Every time a guest opts out, a donation is made to the Room2Give fund. Guests actively choose which charity their contribution supports by hanging the corresponding door hanger. Fundraise & Recycle is a North-East based recycling company that uses innovative recycling methods to create multiple sources of income for the organisations it works with. What do we do? We provide clothes banks, home collection services, and other initiatives to organisations looking to create a sustainable and long term way to fundraise. Who do we help? We work with schools, community centres, charities, businesses, care homes and other settings as long as they're engaged in the fundraising and recycling process.
