Summer Fridays of course are a perk and like any perk, need to be embraced by a company’s culture. I spent six years in the corporate fitness industry and learned that a company’s best intended programs don’t do the employees any good if they can’t fully enjoy them. That means working out during the day without concern your manager will wonder why you’re not at your desk, or online. Truly respecting boundaries. And not sending “I know it’s supposed to be Summer Friday but…” messages. Learn more about what we have to say about Summer Fridays at IncredibleContent.net
It's that time of year for Summer Fridays. What are they, you ask? It's a perk that some companies offer their employees during the summer months. Employees would get all or part of their Fridays off in exchange for working an hour or so longer Mondays through Thursdays. Some businesses may give Fridays off without asking for additional time during the week. Either way, the concept is called "Summer Fridays" because it typically runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day. According to one survey, 55% of American businesses offer this perk. And according to a study by ADP, it actually leads to more productivity. About 66% of respondents with Summer Fridays felt more productive during the summer. So what do you think? Summer Fridays: Yay or Nay (and why)?
