**RESEARCH STUDY UPDATE**
Please see the message below from the research organisers at University of Liverpool Management School:
We listened to the feedback & have made amendments to shorten the original survey from 60 to approximately 35 minutes.
For participants who complete both parts of the study we have increased the charitable donation to a veterinary support charity of your choice to £5 AND you will also be entered into a draw to win one of three £25 ($30) Amazon vouchers.
If you have already completed the part 1. survey – firstly, thank you it is very much appreciated, and second, you do not need to repeat the survey and you will be entered into the draw, etc. after completion of part 2.
The new advert and link are below.
We are recruiting participants for the first part of a research study that explores individual differences in the pursuit of achievement. Specifically, to provide empirical evidence about why they matter, and how they might be leveraged to improve mental health and retention in our profession.
Who can take part?
Anyone who has been awarded a degree which enables them to work as a veterinary surgeon if they wish. However, you can be working in any role, anywhere in the Western world (i.e., Europe (inc. UK), USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand).
What will happen if I take part?
By following the link below, you will be directed to an online questionnaire. The questionnaire will take approximately 35 minutes to complete and all answers you provide are anonymous. You can pause the survey and resume participation for up to 7 days after you begin.
At the end of the questionnaire an email is requested (not linked to the above) to invite you to participate in the second part of this research study, which will include free training towards your professional development. You will receive an invitation to participate approximately 3 months after part 1 is complete, but you are under no obligation to take part.
A donation of £5 (or local currency equivalent) per participant completing both parts of the study will be made to your choice of veterinary support charity. In addition, these participants will be entered into a prize draw to win one of three £25 ($30) Amazon vouchers.
Please feel free to contact Sharon Cooksey, BVSc, MBA, MRCVS, at s.a.cooksey@liverpool.ac.uk if you require further information.

CALLING ALL VETS!
The University of Liverpool Management School are recruiting participants for the first part of a research study that explores individual differences in the pursuit of achievement.
Specifically, to provide empirical evidence about why they matter, and how they might be leveraged to improve mental health and retention in our profession.
The research aims to provide empirical evidence to support how and why the individual differences in the pursuit of achievement which underpin the veterinary surgeon population matter, and how they might be leveraged to improve mental health and retention in the profession.
The advert and link are below – the team would be very grateful if you would be able to participate and if you can encourage any of your vet colleagues to take part too that would be fabulous! Over 500 participants are required for statistical analysis to provide credible evidence to help our profession.
