A heartfelt thank you - Our community inspires again, as you joined us in February to help surpass our donation goal for @americancancersociety in support of National Cancer Prevention Month. Your support of the American Cancer Society will make possible further research, support, and education that moves us towards a future free of cancers. We also want to recognize our Team Members across California, and highlight Cameron and Grace from our team in La Costa, our top location in terms of donations raised!

Such a selfless act well done to both of you.
This is a story of how every one of us - no matter how big or small - has the power to make a positive impact in this world. My 9-y-o child had the idea of helping improve the life of at least one person affected by cancer and started this fundraiser where the money collected are donated to the Irish Cancer Society and at the end of the month both Johanna and I are going to donate our hair to the Rapunzel Foundation. The kindness and generosity have been so overwhelming and Johanna's target has nearly tripled to date. Please feel free share and help raise awareness of the importance of prevention and early diagnostics of cancer and support the priceless work of the Irish Cancer Society. https://lnkd.in/dt_ntUgi

This post beautifully exemplifies how passion, purpose, and community can come together to make a powerful impact on cancer research. The dedication shown by the Smash Cancer Loyola Team in raising both awareness and funds is truly inspiring and demonstrates the critical role that collective action plays in the fight against cancer. At Tree of Life, we see firsthand the importance of comprehensive support systems for those affected by cancer. Our employee vitality and cancer defense program is designed to not only assist employees during their cancer journey but also to support those striving to live a preventative lifestyle. By focusing on holistic well-being—through stress management, nutrition, exercise, and more—we help improve the quality of life for employees at every phase, whether they're facing a diagnosis, in treatment, or are caregivers. Kudos to @Isabella Leaño and the entire Smash Cancer Loyola Team for making such a meaningful contribution to Stand Up To Cancer's mission! The Smash Cancer Loyola Team knows how to hit an ace! 🎾 Founded by Isabella Leaño in 2019 in honor of her grandfather, who passed away from leukemia, ‘Smash Cancer’ holds an annual tennis-a-thon tournament where the men’s and women’s tennis teams of Loyola University New Orleans play for 12 hours straight. “I combined my love for tennis and admiration for my grandfather into ‘Smash Cancer,’ an organization aimed at raising awareness and funds for cancer research. This spirit of service, instilled in me by my Lolo, has served as the cornerstone of my journey in making a difference in the lives of others,” says Isabella. The fundraiser has had over 1,000 participants and raised over $30,000 for #StandUpToCancer. 🧡 THANK YOU, Smash Cancer Loyola, for your contribution to SU2C’s mission! 100% of your donations received supports Stand Up To Cancer and our collaborative cancer research programs – bringing new treatments to patients now.

DONATE in a way that suits you. 2 in 5 Canadians in their life will get Cancer. Help us bring a world where everybody lives longer, better lives free from the fear of cancer. Small amounts add up. Every dollar matters. But when you make a regular donation, even if it’s a small amount, your impact builds up over time to help more people like Carlos. Help save more lives, like Mei Ling. Your donations support thousands of researchers, clinicians and nurses to transform how to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, bringing hope to millions of people like Mei-Ling, now and in the future. Hope grows when you give to those in need. Your generosity not only provides nourishment, but is also the first step towards programs and services that transform lives. Help break the cycle. What does this awesome little guy have to do with lung cancer, you ask? This is one of our two dogs, Mr. Chew, and he LOVES walking at the Flowood Nature Park. I could have done better at self-care the last few years - including physical activity - and I'm working to change that. It's often easier to lace up my shoes if I have external motivators like Mr. Chew. Now, I'm adding another. Between now and October 26, 2004, I aim to raise at least $888 in support of LUNGevity Foundation. Their annual events, Breathe Deep TOGETHER and Breathe Deep ANYWHERE, are platforms for raising crucial funding to support all those living with lung cancer. I have two action items for my LinkedIn colleagues: 1) Please agree to be my "accountability partners" in my commitment to becoming more physically active while raising money to support LUNGevity's vital work, and 2) Please support my fundraiser if you can (link below). I promise to check in occasionally and keep you posted on my mileage, Mr. Chew, and my progress toward my fundraising goal. Mr. Chew says, "Whaddaya waiting for? Let's get walking!" https://lnkd.in/gQY_NgeD
