Introducing our May Employee of the Month, Takeisha Maldonado! Takeisha joined the Fuku team in July 2023, starting as a back-of-house gig worker at Rolling Loud in Miami. Her exceptional performance led to a full-time position with our concessions team at Hard Rock Stadium and Inter Miami / Chase Stadium. Now a supervisor at Fuku, she is known for her dedication and consistently going above and beyond. Tenders and waffle fries are her go-to meals, and she enjoys working with a team that feels like family. Thank you, Takeisha, for your outstanding service and work ethic!

Great example of how a team works as a single unit over a fairly long time frame. while they're celebrating 3rd anniversary in a new avatar, I have seen them working together as far as my memory serves - more than 10 years for sure. So, what's the mantra to stick together as a team for over a decade 1. Complete autonomy and sense of ownership. Decision making including very strategic ones such as partner selection is done with everyone agreeing to the same. 2. Total transparency - everyone knows everything about the company including access to the CEO's email ( not advocating this as a best practice though 🤣), but nothing can be a greater example of transparency 3. Direct and no nonsense communication style including arguments 4. Complete flexibility in working hours. Family priorities come first for everyone and other team members support the person who needs time away automatically. These are few of my impressions as an outside observer who has seen this team through ups and downs.

Team Player Yesterday I went into the local high street. I joined a few people waiting at the pelican crossing to cross the busy road (obviously). After a few minutes, I realised that it was taking “longer than expected”. It became evident that no one had pressed the button! The people joining the waiting queue of people had likely assumed that the first person had pressed the button. 🚦🛑 So I walked round, pressed the button, hey presto the green man was flashing and about 15 people were able to cross the road. 👈 🚦 It wasn’t tricky. It just involved being curious about why something wasn’t working as expected then taking responsibility to take action. 🧐 This simple act actually helped approximately 14 other people. 👫 So the next time you take action when you can’t be bothered or feel that it’s not your responsibility, remember that it could be helping your team, the elderly or people who need a break. Be a team player by leading the action. Share a story of when a simple act helped others. Even your story could put a smile on someone’s face. #team #action #teamplayer #leader

Part of a ecosystem to develop omnichannel strategies to gain and manage opt-ins. Particularly interesting when moving into new TA's with new customer groups and for biotechs (focused on rare diseases) from the US who are moving into Europe and require more digital-heavy GTM models. Still seeing the need for providing strong omnichannel campaigns to firstly gain the opt-ins, but then make strong use of the opt-ins once they are gathered.

Managing a cub event might seem like a small task, but it's no less than managing a company. The group of very different characters in cubs, just like a company, are pushed together for a common goal. Learning and having fun is the ultimate objective in cubs, and these two things happen in every successful company. Every group has its share of shy, outgoing, and determined individuals. Some may not even want to be there, but in the end, they all have fun. The same goes for a Cub leader and a Managing Director- both roles come with their own set of challenges, but they are equally fun and rewarding.
