Today we launched our 2024 version of the Fleet Friendly Charging Index at an event with Local Authority representatives from across the country. The ‘Charge Forward’ event, in conjunction with the Energy Saving Trust and Novuna Vehicle Solutions, was designed to supercharge local authorities' understanding of #EV charging infrastructure and how to acknowledge #fleet needs. Half of all local authorities now have an EV charging strategy in place, but only a tiny proportion are talking to fleets about their needs. The latest Fleet Friendly Charging Index shows that 49% of local authorities have a plan in place, up from 37% last year. Those with plans are expected to be in the majority by the end of 2024.
