Today, the UK Government announced that GB Energy’s first project will be investing in rooftop solar panels on schools and hospitals. It’s great to see the commitment to accelerating cheap, local power. We now look forward to helping the UK Government shape the Local Power Plan to ensure it supports the community energy sector to grow, taking lessons from our first hand delivery experience in Scotland and Wales. Our head of policy, Stew Horne, outlined why this is a positive first step.
