Dynamic spacing is more than a design principle: it's a response to our evolving needs and aspirations for flexibility in today’s rapidly changing world. Every space can serve as a starting point for innovation and involve sustainability personally and publicly. We find ourselves motivated by seeing how the design community is actively driving changes. Our enduring commitment to innovation and versatile design has been steadfast since the beginning and positions us as pioneers in this emerging trend. The dynamic world around us challenges our adaptability to craft new experiences, whether it be within the comfort of our own homes, the functionality of our offices, or the vibrancy of public spaces. Why is Milan Design Week still worth the hype? In this new era of remote hybrid working, corporate cost efficiencies and driving sustainability, there’s an inevitable question mark that hangs over the future ROI of large-scale design events. But Milan Design Week continues to boom (Salone del Mobile 2024 alone had 17.1% more visitors than 2023, a record-breaking 361,000+) maintaining its role as a place for brands of all kinds to state their creative relevance. A synergy of creativity and commerce with global impact, Milan brings industry professionals together for a week-long immersion into design of the near and far future. To me, this feels evermore important in terms of making human connections, but also driving the engagement in physical experiences that stimulate questions and celebrate craft and design. And for a taste of what we identified: - Circularity & waste were crucially front of mind, with conscious brands and designers taking a ‘nothing new’ approach - Cross-modal perceptions were explored using ambient technologies across installations combining sound, light, colour, taste and scent - Spaces reconnected us with nature, as outdoor design becomes ever higher on the agenda - Furniture designers contrasted more commanding industrial metals with comforting communal seatscapes bringing retro styling to our future interiors - And, cultural heritage shone through, as independent designers and established brands reignited traditional craft techniques. Today our team published our series of 5 detailed reports dissecting the key trends, brands and experiences synthesised from our conversations with experts on-the-ground and from the many hundred exhibits we visited. 💡Every so often, an idea emerges that reshapes the way we think about our spaces. This year, at the Salone del Mobile Milano, our booth didn't just stand out; it redefined what's possible. Meticulously designed and crafted, it became more than just a structure—it was a portal to possibilities. Here, in the buzz of the world's most famous design and furniture fair, people from across the globe witnessed the revolutionary +Comfort Bed and +Motion Wall come to life. As we've navigated the first three exhilarating days, the response has been nothing short of inspiring. Hundreds of conversations with designers, industry professionals, and home enthusiasts have sparked insights and excitement about how we can better inhabit our increasingly compact living environments. In these times, when the square footage of our homes demands as much innovation as the technology within them, the +Comfort and +Motion stand as beacons of change. The debut of the new booth on this global stage isn't just about smart furniture; it's about crafting futures where space is no longer a limitation but a canvas for creativity and comfort. And as spaces grow smaller and the stakes higher, Add Rest is here, ensuring your home evolves right alongside your dreams. #spacesreimagined #ADDrest

🌟 Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024: A Review Where Innovation Meets Art 🌟 The curtains have closed on Salone del Mobile.Milano, affirming once again that it's more than just a furniture fair; it’s a celebration of design artistry and a preview of the future of interior design. Here are my thoughts and insights on the standout innovations and creative expressions showcased this year. 🆕 A New Era of Design Philosophy It was evident that many exhibitors are moving beyond merely presenting products. Instead, they focused on the journey behind the design and development of each piece. This deeper engagement with the "why" and "how" provides a fascinating perspective on the objects that enrich our daily lives. 🚘 Automakers Venture into Home Decor Brands like Bentley Genève and BUGATTI showed us how automotive design can inspire exquisite home decor. Their furniture collections not only reflect the elegance and prestige of their vehicles but also the materials and craftsmanship synonymous with their luxury cars. This approach creates a synergistic relationship between their automobiles and living spaces. 🌳 Sustainability Takes Center Stage Sustainability is no longer a trend—it's a necessity. It was impressive to see how traditional production methods are being rethought and redesigned to incorporate more environmentally friendly solutions. Replacing conventional plastics with sustainable materials was a recurring theme, demonstrating the industry's serious commitment to environmental responsibility. 👨🎨 Individuality Remains Supreme Despite the push for greater sustainability and new approaches, the desire for individualization is stronger than ever. Manufacturers like Lapalma Design allow customers to create their unique pieces by combining different modules and colors. This flexibility enhances the bond between product and consumer and fosters user creativity. 🏫 Academic Influences It wasn't just commercial enterprises that made impressive contributions. Academic institutions like Hochschule Pforzheim - Gestaltung, Technik, Wirtschaft und Recht University, led by Elisabeth Klug and her classmates, presented exciting thesis projects focused on sustainable production. Such academic contributions are vital as they provide the theoretical foundations for future sustainable innovations. Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024 was more than just a product exhibition; it was a profound experience that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible and redefines how we think about the spaces we live and work in. I’m excited to see how these new ideas will materialize in the years to come. #SaloneDelMobile #DesignInnovation #Sustainability #InteriorDesign

Year after year, the Milan Furniture Fair stands as a cornerstone in the design world, and this year, we had the privilege of experiencing it through the eyes of our friend and collaborator, Louis Berger. Attending the Salone del Mobile Milano presents an invaluable opportunity to connect with designers, suppliers, and peers in the industry, while also cultivating new relationships and adding exciting products to our furniture collection. Hosted at the Rho Fiera fairgrounds from April 16-21, this year’s Salone Milano showcased thought-provoking and innovative furniture designs from global designers. Unlike the past editions dominated by earth tones and safe designs, this year’s fair emphasized bold aesthetics, ingenuity, and sustainability, featuring materials that are kind to our planet. Over the next few days, we will share the stunning visuals captured by Louis Berger, highlighting the spectacle of this event and why missing it means missing out on a key fixture in the design calendar if you're not in Italy in April. Documentation was conducted at the following locations and exhibits: ADI Museum - Salone Exhibitions Aesop - Form Follow Formulation Audi - Reflaction BMW - Neue Klasse Bottega Veneta - Cassina x LeCorbusier Dibbern - Showcase 2024 Emeco to Emeco - Special Exhibition Flos - New Products 2024 #design #designeducation #industrialdesign #furniture #salonedelmobile

Innovation marketing for high-end market, with the mission of transforming the marketing and communications of heritage and modern brands into assets that generate growth | Supporter of the culture of modern business
"A curated view of where innovation is happening in marketing today, why it matters, and how it is transforming modern business". --- Preserving the legacy. A historic architecture reimagined in its interiors. For us Milanese, and not only, it remains an iconic space that never ages; in fact, it has even been used by fashion companies for runway shows. Palazzo Mondadori in Milan, built between 1968 and 1975, is a prime example of Niemeyer’s signature style. Recently renovated by Carlo Ratti Associati, the focus of the renovation was on the 20,000 square meters of office space. The main structure is a distinctive suspended glass box supported by parabolic arches, giving the impression of floating above an artificial lake designed by landscape architect Pietro Porcinai. The redesigned interior includes desks that encourage informal interaction across all five floors. New transparent meeting rooms create a sense of continuity, allowing for free movement and connection with the natural surroundings. The layout of the furniture is designed to maximize natural light, further emphasizing the building's beauty and enhancing the connection with the park. This renovation represents an exploration of future-oriented workspace design, with an emphasis on fostering meaningful connections between people through its vertical urbanism and integration of green spaces. 🙌 What’s your take? # 395 INTERIORS, Italy 👉 More content on our website b-f-t-m.com/DRUMROLL Subscribe to the weekly newsletter. 🎯 If you want to learn more about our transformative approach to generating growth (yes, what we call innovation marketing!), feel free to write me privately.
