Mapping everything that Smart Green Group is based on with a Miro board not only helped me lay everything on the table for cross-pollination of ideas, but it really did reinforce what SGG is at its core, what the House of SGG represents and where it sits in the field of regen… We are a land-based creature, and by that, I mean we operate from the ground up, from land-based projects, all the way to our core
Going through our history of dealing with all three levels of government, both here and in Latin America, the finance world through setting up funds, from working with business, the not-for-profit and charity sectors, for us, our strength and passion is working with community, developing strategies around land-based projects, and leveraging the value uplift of property development to deliver regenerative development strategies to develop the capacity of the community for self-actualisation
All our skillsets can be delivered and maximised through the security of land on behalf of, and for the benefit of local communities, returning the power back to the people in deeper relationship to the living world
We are a regenerative development company with our roots deep in the land with our understanding of living systems through permaculture, our trunk strong in the power of property development as a nodal point of change for the reshaping of our built environment as the foundation of a conscious civilisation, and our branches and leaves reaching high into the sky through regenerative economics, finance, and business development to shape a future conscious society, though our strength lies in our base, in the land
This creature moves through the land by staying close to the ground, moving through the shaded valleys and waterways, walking with the people, leaving the other creatures of the forest to twitter in the treetops, soar across the sky and climb the lofty hill to meet the glory of the gleaming sunlight. We are happy in the muddy trenches where the path is unclear, and the dangers abound
It’s good to know your role in the ecosystem, in the forest, in the city streets
It’s good for others to know as well, as our growing field of regen is now bustling with new and diverse creatures all trying to find their place in the forest, find friend from foe, find their way to feed their cubs and bring food back to the nest, and not get consumed in the process
As in any new ecosystem, it starts with competition as it establishes security, stability and diversity, and then transitions to cooperation as the subterranean system develops the communication and transfer of nutrients, and I think there is just enough diversity now in Australia to see the first shoots of the forest establishing which is a positive sign
