Great guidance for how our NTCSA should be designing. France will release a new Grid roadmap this week. Will increase grid spend by EUR 5,5 bn to 2027 and targeting a EUR 1 grid spend for every EUR 1 RE spend so Grid being reprioritised to be a highly digitised and expanded backbone. EU has over 3000 GW of RE queuing for Grid connection but investment has remained flat since 2010. #energytransition

The concerns about communal heating prices potentially rising by up to 350% are alarming. In a time when energy affordability is paramount, it's essential to address these challenges head-on. Keeping residents central in discussions and enhancing system efficiency can lead to substantial savings and reduced carbon emissions. Ofgem is leading the charge, conducting a consultation on heat network regulation with a focus on fair pricing, reliability, and transparency. The decision is expected in October, and implementation begins in early 2024, making preparedness crucial. Efficiency is key. Over 90% of UK heat networks underperform, a problem that requires immediate attention. By partnering with Evinox, operators can boost efficiency of both new and existing heat networks, ensuring residents' comfort and affordability. 💡 ACER to decide on ENTSO-E’s 2023 European resource adequacy assessment (ERAA) On 15 December 2023, the European Network of #Transmission #SystemOperators for #Electricity (ENTSO-E) submitted the European Resource Adequacy Assessment (#ERAA) 2023 to ACER. 🔎 What is the European resource adequacy assessment? Mandated by the 2019 #CleanEnergyPackage, ERAA is ENTSO-E’s annual evaluation of the risks to the #EU security of #ElectricitySupply for up to 10 years ahead. Following the methodology approved by ACER in October 2020, ENTSO-E must carry out an annual assessment on whether the EU has sufficient electricity resources to meet its future demand. ⏭ What are the next steps? FERC have just published 'Order 1920' which reforms regional transmission policy for the first time in a decade, including requiring consideration of advanced power flow control, DLR and others to meet transmission needs⚡ According to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, this new Rule will "ensure the transmission grid can meet the nation’s growing demand for reliable electricity with a new rule that outlines how to plan and pay for facilities that regions of the country will need to keep the lights on and power the American economy through the 21st Century". WECC released the Changes in Grid Strength Study. The study follows our 2021 Changes in System Inertia Study and examines the strength of the system by assessing voltage profiles and how the system responds to transmission faults. It was during an expo that we met Mr. Grant with a unique request. Mr. Grant explained the dire situation in the industrial district, where toxic gas clouds often formed, posing a significant threat to the safety and health of the workers and residents nearby. "I need a system that can swiftly dilute and washdown these hazardous gas clouds," Mr. Grant implored, desperation evident in his voice. We showed and explained the possibilities of the Turbine Response System (TRS). The TRS is a technical marvel, equipped with gas turbines and an advanced and patented nozzle that is able to quickly dilute and precipitate toxic gases with a water mist. Excited by the prospect of finally tackling the gas cloud problem, Mr. Grant eagerly purchased the TRS and wasted no time in deploying it to the industrial district. During its first run, the TRS sprang into action with impressive efficiency. As toxic gas clouds began to form, the turbines came to life and sprayed a gigantic cloud of mist over and into the toxic gas clouds. Within minutes, the once ominous clouds cleared, thinned and washed away. The success of the TRS spread like wildfire throughout the area. We were inundated with requests from other industrial areas struggling with similar environmental challenges. Yet, amid the praise and recognition, we remained grounded, driven not by fame or fortune, but by a genuine desire to make a difference. https://lnkd.in/epcJY_N4

Indian Electricity Grid Code, 2023 (IEGC) comes into force from Oct. 1, 2023. Along with IEGC, General Network Regulations (GNA) and Sharing of Transmission Charges Regulations also become fully effective. It's a paradigm shift - IEGC 2010 to IEGC 2023, LTA to GNA STOA to TGNA, improved load and RE forecasting, better protection regime, and so on.
