The situation in the hydropower sector as of March 20: 🌊⚡️ HPPs and PSPPs continue to go through the spring flood. The stations on the Dnipro and Dniester operate by the natural water inflow. Reservoir levels are within the limits set by the Interagency Commission under the State Water Agency of Ukraine. The stations make no idle discharges. 🌊⚡️ The repair campaign and implementation of restoration projects at the hydroelectric power plants continue. Did you catch the rare sight at Grain LNG on 16th September 2024?  Two distinct Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carriers, Orion Bohemia and Arctic Lady, docked side by side—a rare and impressive scene of LNG vessels both playing a major role in security of energy supply yet very different by design. Orion Bohemia: With its advanced membrane tanks, this state-of-the-art carrier can transport up to 180,000 cubic meters of LNG, representing a modern design often seen at Grain LNG. Arctic Lady: Contrasting with the Bohemia, Arctic Lady features the classic and reliable moss tank design. At 288 meters long, capable of carrying 148,000 cubic meters of LNG, playing an important role in meeting the UK's energy demands and beyond. Capturing these two vessels side by side is not just a visual treat; it’s a clear reminder of the engineering that supports our energy security. The situation in the hydropower sector as of 6 March: 🌊⚡️ The company's HPPs and PSPPs are operating normally. The company's plants are also preparing for the spring flood. There are 23 hydraulic units under repair. Of these, 9 are under reconstruction and 5 are under overhaul. 🌊⚡️ The stations are completing preparatory work for the spring flood. All hydroelectric facilities on Ukrhydroenergo's balance sheet are in good working order, meet design requirements, and can perform their functional purpose in the specified modes. 🌊⚡️ The plants operate by the natural flow of water. Hydroelectric power plants make no idle discharges. The general situation in the power system: 🔹 In the Khmelnytskyi region, over 14,000 consumers were left without power due to a Shahed drone attack on substations. Restoration work is underway.
