【Press Release】 TOWING Awarded Approximately ¥1.25 Billion for SBIR Phase 3 Fund Project Nagoya, Japan - [January 12, 2024] TOWING, headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, has been selected for the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries' Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase 3 Fund program. This initiative focuses on the development and large-scale field verification of TOWING's proprietary soil improvement agent, "High-Performance Biochar," created using its innovative smart artificial soil development technology. "Technological Validation Goals" Through this project, TOWING aims to establish a large-scale production model for high-performance biochar derived from various raw materials. The key objectives include maximizing farm profitability and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction in the agricultural industry by assuming cost and process establishment for large-scale production. To achieve this, TOWING plans to construct up to three large-scale production prototype plants and focus on the following areas: 1. Development of a large-scale production process for high-performance biochar. 2. Quantification of effectiveness through large-scale distribution and cultivation verification of high-performance biochar. 3. Maximizing GHG emission reduction in the production and application processes of high-performance biochar. For media inquiries, please contact: [https://lnkd.in/gUXA_jZt] About TOWING: TOWING, founded in February 2020 as a green and agri-venture company originating from Nagoya University, aims to realize a super-circular society based on sustainable next-generation agriculture. TOWING's "Soratan," certified under the Midori no Shokuryo System Law in June 2023, has been granted J-credits approval for the application of biochar to agricultural land. Going forward, by upcycling unused biomass into Soratan and utilizing it in agriculture, we aim to achieve a sustainable food production system. Corporate Page: [https://lnkd.in/gUqkBXar]

Biochar: The Time is Now, and the Technology is Ready! The recent Project Finance Building panel at the 2024 North American Biochar Conference made it clear: high-quality, commercially proven technology is key to financing successful biochar projects. Excitingly, Pyreg GmbH systems not only meet these standards but can also process diverse feedstocks, a major advantage! AgroNet ZERO's co-founder Oleg Ryzhkov actively participated in discussions with the Pyreg GmbH team: Jörg Dohna and Robert Kovach to explore potential collaboration, as we firmly believe biochar is the optimal and economically viable solution for climate-smart agriculture. Remember, technology readiness is just one reason why now is the perfect time for biochar. Its ability to: - Reduce greenhouse gas emissions - Improve soil health and fertility - Convert waste into valuable resources - Boost agricultural productivity makes it a game-changer for a sustainable future. Stay tuned for further updates on our progress, and let's join forces to make biochar a reality! #AgronetZERO #sustainability #agriculture #innovation #biochar #bioenergy #wastetoenergy #pyrolysis #pyreg #circulareconomy #startup
