Happy first day of Summer! Summertime does not have to be totally about fun in the sun and leaving work early BUT it also doesn't have to be all about work and no play. It is important to celebrate summertime and make adjustments in your schedule to allow for you to enjoy the season. That can also include professional and personal development, staying focused at work, and making progress towards goals. My advice? Add some personal "summer" goals to your list. The main reason I went into event planning was the people. It sounds cheesy to say, but crafting people's experiences and contributing to the creation of new memories is what drives me. I joined Surf Office for this exact reason, and after almost 7 months, the thrill of clients' feedback is still what gets me the most. I love hearing them talk about how their offsites brought them closer as employees (some even as friends), and how they created great memories.
