The transport sector remains a significant emitter of greenhouse gasses, responsible for approximately one-quarter of global emissions. Despite efforts to transition to cleaner energy sources, the fact sheet on climate change has shown that 95% of the world’s transport energy still relies on fossil fuels. The fact sheet also reveals that in 45% of countries, transport is the largest source of energy-related emissions; in others, it ranks as the second largest. As Africa grapples with urbanisation, population expansion, and climate change challenges, the transition to electric cars appears as a critical potential for transformation. This seems a worthwhile endeavour for much wider deployment - a new and sustainable #goalforcoal when combined with district heating - surely also low-hanging political fruit in terms of innovative second life re-use of abandoned national assets.

Re-purpose, re-use existing infrastructure where it makes sense.... instead of de-comission to de-carbonise, look at the alternative perspectives to existing investments in infrastructure.

As I have been emphasizing, air filters should be located underground to achieve a reduction of pollutant agents before reaching the environment. This coal heating model has evolved, and in the current global reality, these are the methods that will progress and thrive, aiding in improving environmental quality. As I say, we will always research ways to filter either underground or beneath the environmental level.

According to the experts, global coal demand is expected to decline in the coming years, signaling a significant step towards a more sustainable future. This shift highlights the importance of embracing clean energy solutions to combat climate change. Numerous daily record high temperatures once again broke or tied today. Also, preliminarily all-time record high temperatures were set or tied at Las Vegas, Bishop CA, and Barstow-Daggett CA. Given the urgency of our climate crisis, it's imperative that we take immediate action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
