VALIDATED CRYPTOSPORIDIUM PROTECTION: The waterborne parasite, Cryptosporidium, gained attention in May 2024 when it was detected in drinking water in Brixham, Devon. More recently, researchers at the University of Kent found Cryptosporidium in pre-washed salads/vegetables from four major UK supermarkets. Effective removal is mission-critical, as the parasite, along with other serious bacteria, can cause illness and potentially be fatal for individuals with weakened immune systems. This presents a significant risk to both brand and corporate reputation. Envirogen Group DWI-approved Deltapor Municipal Water Absolute (MWA) depth filters are validated to LRV 7 for the removal of the Cryptosporidium parasite and can protect water utilities, municipalities, and food and beverage production sites by safeguarding their water supplies.
