Very positive reception for Blue Cromos at "the Davoz meeting of standardisation", GS1 Global Forum. We seem to be ahead of the game, both in concept and in practice. A few weeks ago, we took the stage at GS1 Global Forum to present our platform for efficient and agile handling of digital product passport data. The reception was very encouraging and resulted in the start of several interesting dialogues with several new GS1 country organisations. What caught the attention of delegates was: 🟠 A solution based entirely on standards – why would you do anything else, we ask 🟠 A live, working solution – not just a theoretical concept 🟠 Using live data, owned by dealers, not us – of course, we say. That goes to prove the openness that is fundamental to our approach. 🟠 Openness and interoperability – We're not in this to build monoliths to lock customers in. We're here to set their data free (on their terms, of course). 🟠 Addressing Business-to-Business too – of course, we say (again). Just think of how many B-to-B transactions that precede a single final purchase by a consumer. We're happy of course, but also a bit puzzled. For us, these points are obvious, but obviously not to others. It was a real ‘wow’ moment! Who couldn’t be amazed by the sheer knowledge, ability and technical-agility of the 80 teams of local university students and business professionals who joined the GS1 Internet of Things Data Hackathon 2024. The Hackathon teams were challenged to create transformative winning solutions using the power of data, by tackling real world business scenarios across the themes of ‘Smart Supply Chain’ and ‘Smart City’. It was our absolute privilege for Yoshinoya to sponsor the Hackathon, on our ongoing quest to nurture and champion the innovation of the future. We were truly impressed and inspired by the talent, commitment and impact that these tech geniuses can make, as they worked together to develop and pitch their data-driven solutions to a judging panel of 14 industry experts.
