Four Native American tribes, two states and the U.S. Government have agreed to work together to replace the energy now produced by hydroelectric dams. The U.S. Congress could then vote to breach the dams to restore native fish populations. #solar #technology #renewableenergy

CLOSED LOOP, off river PUMPED HYDRO STORAGE with high head heights means that pumped hydro REUSES WATER over and over AGAIN with LITTLE LOSS, doesn’t impact existing rivers and the head height means that the reservoirs are small. Per Stocks, a gigaliter of water with 500 meter head height would provide a gigawatt hour of energy storage with two small reservoirs only a kilometer on a side if square, more ponds than new lakes. https://lnkd.in/dbJWCJQm

It makes sense to utilise mine water to heat to our homes. However, without district heating it will remain an untapped resource. The quicker government get to grips that heat pipes in the ground is a route for all energy sources to deliver heat to homes the better and in the short term this should include heat generated from gas sources, to assist our Heat energy transition.

Very interesting but comprehensible - the only way to reduce #MethaneEmission effects (whether direct or oxized into #CO2) is its stabilization by #DryCH4Splitting into #physicalCarbon under capture its released #Hydrogen for #CleanEnergyUse as our team had first published (ISSN1864-6972 LIFIS Nov. 27, 2007) industrially implemented after completion of AT Factory of the Future Call FP5 (final report published at BMVIT) for conductive & reinforced Plastic Composites at C-Polymers until 2013 in continuous production over several thousand hours and last valudated in a TDD by encos (TÜV-Nord) in 2021 - however, politically unwanted and gainsaid to support contemplated R&D need generously subsidized under leaving all our state of art evidences out from literature searches! To the benefit of Academias in several countries incl. Rice University contemplating it to become the future in 20 years time only - although we could use it and its #CarbonEducts already NOW! I’ve been working in these fields for about 30 years - what might look very easy isn’t trivial in detail though. Who ever interested PM me before burning money on experiences I can share!
