Thanks to Andreas Munk Holm at EUVC for being such a great host as we talked about venture firm building, US expansion and creating alignment with founders. For those interested in those topics I hope you find it interesting. *********** With ~€435M in assets under management, Frontline Ventures is a venture investment firm that operates two distinct funds: Frontline Seed: A €100M fund targeting pre-seed and seed-stage European companies with clear U.S. expansion intentions. Frontline Growth: A €100M fund focusing on Series B up to D in U.S. companies planning to expand to Europe within 12-18 months. Frontline Ventures, with offices in UK, USA and Ireland, specializes in B2B SaaS and Deeptech sectors. The firm's position allows it to bridge the gap between European and U.S. markets, providing valuable support for companies looking to expand across the Atlantic in either direction. Notable investments: Workvivo (acquired by Zoom), SignalAI, Finbourne, Cloudsmith, Lattice, MosaicML (acquired by Databricks), Navan.

Where did all the angel investors go? Angel investor participation has apparently been dropping in venture deals for years. Data from PitchBook/NVCA shows deal and dollar amounts declining below. What do we think is driving it? Thought 1: More SPVs showing less individual angel $ but its likely still the same. Thought 2: Instiutionalized (lead by a VC fund) pre-seed rounds are more normal now. Thought 3: More early-stage funds with angels moving to LP? Share your thoughts below. 👇 h/t Jackie DiMonte for sharing originally 🙌

2 angel investing myths I'd like to dispel 👇🏻 1️⃣ You need to write $10K+ checks for founders to be interested in your $ 2️⃣ That if you work at a VC firm, you CAN'T angel invest. If you want proof, just ask Alexandra Burbey. Prior to joining Sound Ventures, she built an early stage angel portfolio while writing checks as a growth stage VC. Here's a bit more about how she did it 👇🏻

The University Venture Capital Society is a Registered Student Organization at the University of Arkansas - Sam M. Walton College of Business that owes a giant debt to the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and its former and current visionary leadership, Sarah Goforth and Phil Shellhammer. It would not be possible without the support of Tracy Poole and Dickson & Main, and the student leadership and initiative of William Tier, our ambitious Accelerated 4+1 MS in Finance student. #waltonmsf #waltoncollegefinance #vc #angelinvesting #investing
