The best part of my job is getting to know the companies we work with.   Sometimes when we are REALLY lucky, getting to “know” them involves a Pickleball tournament. If you’ve read my posts, you’ve probably seen me praising Lancaster County. This week we got spend time with Merv King and the team at Beuta. Another Lancaster gem. Getting to work with companies like Beuta is what I love most about my job. They are a talented team with a vision. And they are growing crazy fast! If you like board rooms, bureaucracy, big egos, strong opinions, and slow decision making, then you probably won’t think they are very much. If you like seeing Amish family members working together manufacturing products they believe in. And you like seeing offices with kids art plastered over every inch of wall space. And a tangible excitement about growth and what the future holds. Then like me, you’ll probably think they are totally awesome.

A: My perfect weekend would be spent camping with my children enjoying the outdoors, hiking, fishing, water sports, scavenger hunts, camping games, and of course relaxing by the fire after a full day of activities. Q: What is a dream that you want to make come true one day? A: A dream I would like to come true would of course be to win the lottery, and to retire in a cabin in the mountains. Q: What are some of your favorite local spots to visit? A: Some of the local spots I like to visit would include Fish Creek Park, princess island park, Edworthy Park, pretty much any park or recreation area as I really enjoy the outdoors. Q: What’s something that you’ve always wanted to try or learn? A: Something that I have always wanted to try was to skydive, however I’m not to keen on jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. Q: How do you think your role has helped to shape the team’s culture? A: I think my role as a Project Manager has helped shape the team culture by using the mentality of there is no I in team, providing assistance anywhere I can which in turn I feel is creating a stronger team environment where co-workers are not hesitant to reach out for assistance.
