🌟 As HR leaders, our role is not just to manage change but to champion it across the organization. We’re at the forefront of building environments where teams can adapt, grow, and thrive. 🌱
Change is hard—often because it challenges the familiar and pushes us out of our comfort zones. It can feel like an uphill battle for many, but it's also where the most growth happens. 🌿
In a recent interview, Cy Wakeman shared a framework that can help us guide our teams through this difficult yet rewarding journey. These three essential questions are crucial to building trust and driving change forward:
1️⃣ **Do you care about me?**
2️⃣ **Can I trust you?**
3️⃣ **Are you as committed as I am?**
These questions create the foundation of psychological safety and connection. 💡 As HR leaders, we must show that we genuinely care, that we’re in it for the long haul, and that we’re as committed to the success of our teams as they are. 🌳
By ensuring you meet these needs, you’re able to make teams feel more included in the positive evolution of the business, and they are far more likely to embrace change with trust, enthusiasm, and resilience. 🌍
Change is challenging, but it’s also the pathway to progress. 🔄 As HR, it is crucial that we lean into the hard work of transformation—not only to make it easier for our teams to see the opportunities ahead, but to ensure that we’re creating a culture where adaptability and innovation thrive. HR sets the tone for how change is embraced, guiding the organization through transitions with clarity, empathy, and purpose. 🚀
How are you supporting your teams through the challenges of change today? 💬

Many leaders struggle with giving freedom for their employees to do their best work, because they forget to provide some structure for them to work in.
In today's episode, Alex Dorr and I talk about leader's role in finding the balance between structure and play. In the conversation, we go into a key Reality-Based Leadership focus that all leaders need to have, is setting your nonnegotiable as a leader to then get people to buy into those. From there, people are allowed to bring their best self play in the workplace so to speak and create magic.
We also cover why it's so important to focus on this balance because too much structure and people believe we're over proceduralized. And they feel like they can't do any work and too much play, then it's really a free-for-all and innovation can't happen.
So the magic comes from just enough structure and then people are allowed to innovate and collaborate knowing they have the same basics. So this is a really, really important episode to setting the groundwork for good leadership. Alex and I can't wait to hear your thoughts.
