INTERNATIONAL FIVE-STAR RATING!!! I registered Power Your Vision for an international award. Quite frankly, I was afraid of the review. I wondered whether I really had what it takes to compete globally, and like all of you, was afraid of criticism. I got a pleasant surprise. Power Your Vision got 5-star rating!!! Nothing is impossible with God! #bookreview #poweryourvision #ReadersFavorite

Awards Season.......how to write a winning entry 🏆 I am very lucky to be part of judging panels for several awards events coming up over the next few months. It is a genuine honour to review talented businesses and individuals across our industry. Having trawled through a very long list of entries last week I thought it might be useful to share my tips for how to create strong entries. ✔ Read the criteria carefully, and make sure your entry captures each of the required points. ✔ Use bullet points, short paragraphs and easy to digest content. Remember the judges have to read an awful lot, so make sure yours is easily understandable. ✔ If you are applying in multiple categories, make sure you make your entry different in each category (back to point 1) Each entry needs to be relevant to the category. ✔ Don't think you have to apply for every category you may have a chance to win in. Less entries, with better clarity and detail, will have more of a chance. And do not give up. If you don't make the shortlist, keep trying. Over the years I have seen plenty of entries improve year on year, your time will come! Good luck everyone 🍀

It’s QBR season, so let’s talk about pet peeves when it comes to these quarterly gatherings. I’ve got a major one – spending too much time reporting the news. The ‘news’ is what happened in the last quarter, and everyone knows (or should know) those results by the time you get to a QBR. What happened is interesting insofar as it’s a learning that you are going to apply to the future. QBRs should be a time to look forward to the coming quarter - and even beyond - to understand the path to success. For individual rep QBRs, this often means diving into territory development activities, key prospects and new business deals, and existing customer expansion. For leaders, it means looking at the whole and answering this question: “Do we have the team setup for maximum success?” Jeffrey Serlin and I have been through a number of QBR seasons together, and I always felt better when he was our QBR sherpa! Check out the blog below for some of his hard-earned tips and tricks for running better QBRs! https://lnkd.in/gb-NGnq2

Hello Brand-/Client-side Design & business leaders... Mark you calendars... March 18, in Chicago. The Speaker Series... We had overwhelming interest in our first Speaker Series event last October. Almost 100 Design & business leaders from some of the world's most recognized brands & companies joined us for this inaugural event to connect, engage, and be inspired by each other. Hundreds more were unable to attend - and have, since - proactively requested to be a part of the next one. So, here is it! We are doing this again in Chicago on March 18th... with some improvements based on feedback from the first event. What remains consistent from the first Speaker Series event, last Oct: > David Butler - "My journey at Coke in becoming a design-driven company - the uncut version" > Fred Richards - "A crusade for better design briefs" > John Gleason - "What is Design... and why should we care?" > Panel Discussion on the future of Design > a room full of brand-/client-side Design & business leaders - your peers & colleagues in the industry... including several October Speaker Series "alumni" who have already committed to come back. > the amazing venue, food, drinks What will be new in March: > one additional speaker (more details when confirmed) > tighter presentations and "so what's" from each presenter This Speaker Series event also coincides with the International Housewares Show in Chicago. If you are coming for the Show, stay for the Speaker Series. We hope you might consider "joining the conversation"... whether experiencing the Speaker Series for the first time - OR - joining as an "alumnus" of the Oct Speaker Series event. If you joined us in October, and are considering whether to join AGAIN - the crowd of 'peers' will be different and the content will be even better. How often do you really get a chance to connect with, learn from, and be inspired by a room of your peers in the industry? Let me know if you have questions. Hope to see you in Chicago, in March.
