What If Oil Demand Is Up But Recovery Methods Are At An All-Time Low? This summer, the CEO of a major oil company declared at an energy conference in Asia, “Oil and gas are needed for decades to come. Energy transition is going to take a lot longer, it’s going to cost a lot more money and need new technologies that don’t even exist today.” We don’t disagree. But consider this: Even if oil is riding high as the largest source of energy for two more decades, the fact remains that a very large percentage of oil continues to be left in oil wells, where it clings to rock. If that trend continues, oil will be simultaneously in demand with recovery methods that are very inefficient. Not exactly leading the way in the energy space. We can change that at Engineered Salinity and in fact, we are – one oilfield at a time. Our engineering is consistently identifying the premium sweet spot of “wettability” so that oil clings to rock much less often and over the long haul, profit sticks longer. Let’s talk about how you can get so much more out of the wells you operate before you ever drill another field.
