🗓 TODAY 12 MAY 2024 "ESNO is taking a unique position on International Nursing Day 2024: 📢 ‘United in the Strength of Diversity’. The unique characteristic is that ESNO does not strive for ‘uniformity in diversity’ - no one speaks on behalf of another - but instead promotes ‘diversity in uniformity’. This diversity makes nursing so attractive. ‘Nursing is not just one profession but a wide spectrum of professional attractive opportunities at all levels’. With ESNO, we contribute to creating a healthy environment where the nursing profession is promoted across the full spectrum, serving patients and impactfull contributing to health systems. We strive for all members and allied organizations to be seen and heard in the European health ecosystem. We promote the idea that many voices are heard and that members speak out in their unique ways. What binds us is keeping the nursing profession attractive and appealing, ensuring #education is standarised, achievements are #certified and ultimately, positions ares #recognizing in their autonomy. We are a strong #SpecialistNursing member organization with many national associates and great allied nursing organizations in Europe and around the globe such as #Africa, #America and #Asia. As president of the European Specialist Nurses Organization, I wish you all a wonderful and inspiring day, and weeks to come, with an abundance of activities on this Sunday, the 12th of May, International Nursing Day." and the days to come. NURSES AND THE ECONOMIC POWER OF CARE Today is International Nurses’ Day (IND) 2024, and the International Council of Nurses (ICN) has chosen the theme "Our Nurses. Our Future. The Economic Power of Care" for this year. This theme highlights the crucial role that nurses play in providing essential healthcare services and driving economic growth and societal well-being. It also serves as a platform to highlight the profound impact of nursing on the economic landscape. This theme emphasizes the need to redefine perceptions surrounding the nursing profession and recognize that investing in nursing yields far-reaching benefits beyond healthcare facilities. Accentuating the economic power of care promotes the health of individuals, communities, and economies, and the ICN aims to elevate the status of nursing through it and advocate for increased investment in the profession. Investing in nursing ensures significant economic and societal advantages beyond just improving working conditions. Research shows that such investment leads to improved patient outcomes, lower healthcare costs, and more resilient and sustainable healthcare infrastructure. Essentially, recognizing and investing in nurses not only improves the quality of healthcare but also fuels economic prosperity, creating a virtuous cycle of wellness and wealth generation for nations around the globe. Happy International Nurses Day! #Nurses #FlorenceNightingale #InternationalNursesDay2024

Respecting doctors and nurses is crucial for fostering a positive healthcare environment and ensuring the best possible care. Nektor offers a few tips for patients to show respect: Listen actively: Pay attention to the advice, instructions, and explanations provided by healthcare professionals. Actively listening demonstrates that you value their expertise and care. Follow instructions: Adhere to the prescribed treatment plan, including medications, lifestyle changes, and follow-up appointments. Compliance with medical advice is essential for successful recovery and management of health conditions. Ask questions respectfully: Seek clarification or additional information when needed, but do so in a polite and respectful manner. Avoid challenging or undermining the expertise of healthcare providers. Express gratitude: Show appreciation for the care and support provided by doctors and nurses. A simple thank you can go a long way in recognizing their efforts and dedication to patient well-being. #respectdoctors #doctor #nurses #nurselife #viral #medical #healthcare #respect #heroes #heroeswithoutcapes #heroesinmasks

Today, we are celebrating International Nurses Day #IND. Despite being the backbone of health care, nursing often faces financial constraints and societal undervaluation. #IND2024 aims to reshape perceptions, demonstrating how strategic investment in nursing can bring considerable economic and societal benefits. At #IfIS, we value the work of Rahel Naef and her Implementation Science in Nursing team: Myrta Kohler, Saskia Oesch, Marco Riguzzi, Torsten Schwalbach, Simone Sutter, Lotte Germans-Verweij, Ursina Wälchli. The promotion of young academics in nursing is at the center of their work. Their focus lies also on the improvement of partnership-based and health-promoting nursing and interprofessional care, which specifically addresses the needs of patients and their families with complex health challenges. #healthcare #nursingscience #healthchallenges #nursing #OurNursesOurFuture #uzh

CEO & Chief Solutions Officer - Lyons Den Solutions | Executive Director - Rheumatology Nurses Society (RNS)
I commend the American Nurses Association Enterprise, American Nurses Credentialing Center, and American Nurses Foundation initiatives highlighting the significant economic impact of nurses and APRNs across healthcare sectors. It is essential to recognize how nursing, in specialized fields like rheumatology, positively impacts patient care and contributes to our healthcare economy. #TheEconomicValueOfNursing #RheumatologyNursing #Rheumatology
Today, #TheEconomicValueOfNursing initiative was launched publicly - with an extraordinary group of national nurses, leaders, and economists! The “value” agenda: expand the visibility of nursing’s #value contribution to the #healthcare #economy, recognize #nurses as revenue generators, and advocate for investment in the #nursing workforce. The goal is to develop a model of #economic value for nursing, which will serve as a guide for future nursing policy, and research. This work is being led by Olga Yakusheva and Marianne Weiss - all of this is a culmination of passion, massive data collection, research, and years of work. This critically important initiative is being funded by the American Nurses Association Enterprise and supported by American Nurses Credentialing Center (and ANCC Research Team), as well as the American Nurses Foundation. To everyone involved, #ThankYou! It’s time for us to look at nursing differently. Watch for more information soon!! #nursesonlinkedin #healthcareonlinkedin #nursingsvalue #nurseschangelives #nursingeconomics #economicsofnursing #economicsofcare #FutureOfHealthcare #FutureOfNursing

This advocacy can bring about transformative changes in people’s lives. Shaping Tomorrow: 👉 Innovation: Nurses are at the forefront of health-care innovation, contributing to advancements in treatments, technologies and patient care practices. Their commitment to learning and adapting helps shape the future of health care. 👉 Educational influence: Nurses, as educators, have a significant impact on shaping the next generation of health-care professionals. It's National Nurses Week. I would be remiss if I didn't extend my appreciation and gratitude for what these incredible professionals accomplish day in and day out. Spent my career seeing it first hand, although never have they been under the intense risk and pressure as we see in healthcare today. Conversely, there are more tools and solutions available than ever to streamline care and promote operational efficiencies in our healthcare facilities. From mechanical CPR to free hands during resuscitation, to advanced communications systems that bring care teams together, through developments in AI/machine learning to support clinical review and administration. The list goes on. We need more adoption of these tools to help reduce the burden on nursing and free them for what they do best — delivering care and improving the lives of patients and their families. And preparing for the next generation of nursing professionals. Changing lives. Shaping tomorrow. Thank you. https://lnkd.in/gbY4fC6q #nationalnursesweek #nursing #gratitude
