On 21 November 2024 #EAE's Managing Director Ralf Pasker held the second presentation in a row about EAE's activities and latest European developments with relevance for the #ETICS sector. After the great meeting with our Italian colleagues of Cortexa, Eccellenza nel Sistema a Cappotto the day before, attending the General Meeting of our Dutch member association Bond voor Pleiserbouw (BvP) marked another highlight and a great opportunity for in-person dialogues with our member companies. After discussion of PvB activities, Raf De Haes informed about the structure and the activities of our Belgian member association Xthermo. After that BvP President Kees Mylanus handed over to Ralf Pasker to the EAE presentation with again great exchanges, supporting the common understanding of how topics at European level are linked to the national level. Some key takeaways: 👉 Networking is key: exchanging among EAE members is fruitful as it is inspiring for all involved. 👉 Long-term reliable framework conditions both in terms of #energyefficiency regulation and financial support are key to foster Europe's energy transition. 👉 Stop-and-go policy-making blocks urgently needed investments at all levels and causes significant downturns of economies in respectice countries. Uncertainty is one of the biggest bariers to accelerate energy-efficiency #renovations. 👉 Efficiency first! As only 6 years are left to achieve the #EU2030 objectives it is high time to accelerate efforts reducing the GHG emissions of Europe's building stock. All technologies needed are available on the market. Lowering the energy consumption creates many co-benefits: #affordablehousing, mitigate energy poverty, ensure energy security, ease shift to renewable heating, improved health, increased living comfort. For more see https://lnkd.in/eHEf4UXv. Many thanks to all participants for this fruitful and expiring exchange! Hartelijk dank en tot snel!

📍 Which role will the #Export have in the future? Let’s think BEYOND THE BOX! This is the main topic of the Österreichischer #Exporttag2024, started this morning in Vienna. 🔎 Among the inspiring speeches we heard this morning, Mr. Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) underlined that the future of #industry belongs to 🍀 #cleanenergy, and this must be the core of a new industrial policy. 🇪🇺 #Europe may have erred in relying on a single energy source from Russia, resulting in energy costs that are up to four times higher than the global average. Therefore, Europe needs a new Industrial #Masterplan. 💡 As EUMICON, we hope that the new European Commission will set as one of its priorities to have an Industrial Masterplan and to secure #competitiveness for the #energy #rawmaterials industries. Globally, new clean energy enables Europe to deliver fast the #green #transition with globally competitive prices. 🙏 A heartfelt thank you to the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, and its President Mr. Harald Mahrer, for hosting us at such an inspiring event.

Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (#IEA), has put it in a nutshell: The first priority of the new #EU #Commission is to make #electricity available at competitive prices with all its energy and speed. Electricity prices in the EU are four times higher than in the USA and China. This threatens the energy-intensive #mining and #metals #industry in #Europe and runs counter to the goal of strengthening Europe's #autonomy. Rapid action and a European Industrial #Masterplan are required! It was a great event Wirtschaftskammer Österreich! #Exporttag2024

🚀 Day 10 in the office for the new #EuropeanCommission and 90 days to go until Ms. von der Leyen's new policy baby - the 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐥 - will see daylight. We hope that political promises will be turned into real business growth, cutting red tape and allowing EU's market to advance technology and innovation at needed speed. The Clean Industrial Deal can make real difference in keeping European industry at home. What we need is a lucrative marketplace, where European businesses have sound business incentives, strong investment signals, and affordable energy to produce products at competitive price points. That will be the job of Teresa Ribera, in charge of the Deal's 'clean' objectives and tasked with a competition policy fit for the world we are living in today. Eurelectric is laser-focused on the 🔔 competitiveness outlook for Europe 🔔 with a new report being developed with Accenture (as we speak) and released just in time for our #PowerSummit25. If interested to learn more then Ioana Petcu is your expert in the field. Be there for the launch of the competitiveness report and many more surprises to come: 📅 3-4 June 2025 📍 Brussels, Gare Maritime 🔎 https://lnkd.in/edE4CYD3 Secure your speaking and partnering opportunities directly with: Kris Van den Zegel & Augustin Chabrol

Last week, on August 29th, I had the pleasure of participating in a roundtable discussion at the #KommunaleSommergespräche2024 (Municipal Summer Talks) on the topic of “The Role of Money: Sustainable Investment in the Future” in Bad Aussee, Styria. It was an honor to share the stage with esteemed international panelists: Marcel Beverungen, Managing Director & Head of DIF Germany, Jacques Ejlerskov, CEO of wa3rm, Michael Woltran, Executive Board Member at AGGM, and our moderator, Archibald Preuschat from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ). The Kommunale Sommergespräche, with this year’s leading theme, “Rethink the System: Innovations in Infrastructure & Energy,” have become a renowned knowledge platform, well-established beyond the borders of Austria for nearly 20 years. Our lively discussions covered a range of topics, including the sources of our investment funds, the societal impact of investments, the energy transition, and the role of projects such as the #SoutH2Corridor in supporting the hydrogen transition. Other focal points included the need to accelerate the implementation of the EU Gas Package within the national regulatory framework, the development of hydrogen projects, via proper financing support, increasing sustainable gas production, and enhancing integration and security of supply through sector coupling. Infrastructure is the backbone of modern society. Our energy, water, and transportation systems must operate efficiently, safely, and sustainably. To achieve global sustainability goals, we need innovative technologies, models, materials, and products. Rethinking how we plan for the future requires a long-term vision but also demands immediate actions for sustainable success. A big thank you to Kommunalkredit Austria AG and the Austrian Association of Municipalities for organizing the Kommunale Sommergespräche 2024. Already looking forward to the 20th anniversary next year! #KSG24 #SustainableFuture #InfrastructureInnovation #EnergyTransition #KommunaleSommergespräche #RenewableEnergy #Hydrogen #SoutH2Corridor #GreenInfrastructure #strongerTAGether #TAGGmbH #WesupporttheflowofEnergy

"African countries can and will play a decisive role for the global demand for energy," highlighted our chairperson, Sabine Dall'Omo as she opened our eagerly awaited event of the year: the German-African Energy Forum in Hamburg. These words precisely encapsulated the mission of the conference titled "Africa’s energy roadmap: Breaking new grounds for green(er) economies." The opening ceremony, moderated by Claudia Voß, Managing Director of Afrika-Verein, also featured powerful remarks from Jens Kerstan, Hamburg’s State Minister of Environment, Climate, Energy, and Agriculture. He emphasized Afrika-Verein's extensive network and advocated for advancements in green hydrogen, urging for unified efforts amidst global challenges. Anna Christmann MdB, Coordinator for Digital Business and Start-ups at Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, projected Africa as a future powerhouse for clean, green energy. She stressed the urgent need for pragmatic and innovative solutions—themes that are at the heart of the Energy Forum. Nthato Minyuku from Siemens Energy concluded the ceremony by calling for collective responsibility in energy transformation, especially in the light of Africa's vast energy potential.
