📚 Boosting Innovation in Higher Education through Knowledge Sharing and Culture 📚 A recent study explored how knowledge sharing (KS) and innovative culture (IC) drive innovative behaviors (IB) in universities in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region. Findings showed that KS directly enhances IC, quality of work life (QWL), and IB. While QWL didn’t significantly impact IB, IC played a key role in fostering innovative actions. The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s COMSTECH - OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation has partnered with The University of Lahore (UoL) to establish a groundbreaking fellowship program aimed at fostering academic collaboration between #Pakistan and #Bangladesh. In a statement issued by COMSTECH, the #initiative seeks to nurture talent, promote innovation, and enhance #academic exchanges among member countries of the OIC. Joint Statement on Involvement of Third-Country Universities in #ErasmusWithoutPaper (EWP) 📝 EWP is a digital solution designed to help higher education institutions (HEIs) manage mobilities efficiently. 💻 However, institutions from non-associated third countries, such as the UK and Switzerland, currently lack access. For over 15 years I have been undertaking research on international branch campuses, which have become a popular topic for research in the international education field. But I am surprised how little attention has been given to the country-branded university - those universities with a name that indicates an affiliation with a foreign country, like the American University of Beirut, British University in Dubai, Vietnamese-German University etc. In my latest article, coauthored with Professor Jeroen Huisman, we argue that country-branded universities may also be recognised as transnational education institutions. We suggest that when students choose to enrol at a transnational education institution what they really want and expect is an authentic "foreign" educational experience. Thus, in this research we explore what achieving authenticity may involve in international and transnational education contexts.
