⭐ The Renault Rafale obtains a 2022 five-star rating ⭐ Euro NCAP recently performed the 2022 safety protocols on the Renault Rafale. It is a partner model to the Renault Austral. Euro NCAP compared both vehicles to verify that the Austral results can be applied to the Rafale and performed additional tests, where necessary. 🚨 The passenger compartment of the Rafale remained stable in the frontal offset test. Analysis of the driver's side dashboard after the test revealed some areas which could be more injurious to occupants of different sizes and to those sitting in different positions. Protection of the driver’s chest was rated as marginal, based on dummy readings of compression. Analysis of the deceleration of the impact trolley during the test, and analysis of the deformable barrier after the test, revealed that the Austral would be a moderately benign impact partner in a frontal collision. 🛣️ Read the full press release here 👉 https://lnkd.in/g2-2SCJT 🚗 See its detailed results here 👉 https://lnkd.in/ghY3RkP8 🚗 Renault #ncap #euroncap #safety #forsafercars #forsafervans #howsafeisyourcar #saferroads #safety #rating #roadsafety #drivesafely #cars #safercars #safetyratings #consumerprotection #electricvehicles #crashavoidance #ADAS #AD #assisteddriving #stars #Renault #Rafale #Austral

🚗✈️ Could there be a Volvo Cars Draken or Gripen in the future? Renault did revive the Secret History of the Rafale Name with Its New SUV In a nod to its aeronautical past, Renault is set to unveil the new Rafale SUV at the International Paris Air Show in Le Bourget this June. This name, which became legendary with Dassault Aviation's fighter jet, originally belonged to Renault since 1934 (see: https://lnkd.in/d4qnVBjZ ). Few know that the illustrious Rafale name, associated with defense aviation, has been Renault’s for nearly a century. A spokesperson from Renault shared, "This name has belonged to Renault since 1934, and an agreement of co-existence was signed with Dassault." Renault's history with aviation dates back to the early 20th century when it adapted its engines for trains and planes (Note: same with Volvo Group, see: https://lnkd.in/dUth7utU ). In 1933, Louis Renault acquired Caudron and created Caudron-Renault, developing aircraft named after winds: the C460 Rafale, C500 Simoun, C640 Typhon, and C714 Cyclone. The Rafale, a sporty single-seater, became a star in 1934, with pilot Hélène Boucher setting speed records. Renault’s communiqué highlights, "Today, Renault once again connects with its history, leveraging the legacy of the legendary Caudron Rafale." An original Rafale aircraft will be showcased alongside the new SUV at the International Paris Air Show. Dassault Aviation, inspired by winds, named its first jet fighter 'Ouragan.' By the late 70s, Dassault embarked on a new aircraft project, going solo in 1985, and launching the Rafale program in 1988, named by Marcel Dassault with the ambition of creating "the best aircraft in the world." Whether Marcel Dassault was inspired by Renault remains a mystery. At the time, Renault hadn't been privatized, possibly easing the name's adoption. Today, the Renault Rafale SUV arrives amicably, with a logo that nods to Dassault's emblem, symbolizing a shared legacy for France. Here's what I said about the Challenger 650 yesterday: 'Or should I say LearStar 650? The Challenger 650 is the latest iteration of the wide-cabin jet concept developed by the legendary Bill Lear in 1974. 1975 – Canadair begins funding the LearStar 600 project. 1976 – Canadair buy Lear’s concept. 1977 – Renamed to the Challenger 600. 1978 – Prototype jet maiden flight. 1980 – CL-600 type certification approval by Transport Canada and the FAA. Since then we’ve seen the 601, 604, 605 and the 650, introduced in 2015. And the stretched out variants - The CRJ regional airliner (which you have probably flown on) and the Global Express - yep, same fuselage cross section. What will the next iteration of the 650 be named? ‘The Challenger 6500’? 🤔 - Can anyone do better? I feel we’re due an announcement from Bombardier on this. Maybe at EBACE or NBAA-BACE? Roll on Feb 2024 and there are six CL650s for sale. I remember a time in March 2023 when there was only one! Six represents 7% of the 143 in service. Five have sold in the last six months.' We have serial number 6134 available for sale. Spec below. #Aviation #BusinessAviation #Markets #JetMarketMonday #Bombardier ___ I'm Colin, I buy and sell jets with Jetcraft. For Sale: Yesterday’s comments of note: A few of the comments that stood out to us yesterday: "Every year, the automotive community celebrates Hemi Day (April 26th) and Cammer Day (April 27th). As a long time owner of an IH truck with a 392, I patiently wait every year for a celebration on March 92nd, but it never comes…" 19 PWSchuh commented on 392-Powered 1967 International Harvester Travelall 1200B Panel Truck 4-Speed "I loved my first ’69 124 Sport Coupe, so naturally I wanted it to Last forever. I shifted at 3000 rpm. After about 3 weeks, it started running terrible. I had to drive about 50 miles to the nearest dealer. After about 45 minutes the technician explained that all it needed wad a tuneup (points and plugs). He also explained that these cars thrive on revs and I should never shift before 3000 and if the car starts running a little rough, to perform an “Italian tune-up” which was run it to…" 6 Browser69 commented on Euro 1969 Fiat 124 Sport Coupe "A little background about the seller of this NSX. He was part of a trio of young Air Force officers (two pilots & a flight navigator) during the early '60s). Two of them exited the military and one remained in the service (eventually becoming commander of the Presidential Squadron for Air Force One). The newly minted civilians went to Pan Am and TWA for several years and then to Singapore Airlines and Saudi Arabian Airlines. Over the years I've known many NSX owners and found that Air…" 5 99NCNSX commented on No Reserve: 2000 Acura NSX-T 6-Speed "The Boss engines as delivered in street Mustangs were just scratching the surface of their potential. They were just a Carb, manifold, cam and headers (well within most Hot Rodder’s abilities) away from being deep into the 500+ horsepower range. They were choked into submission as delivered." 2 2112 commented on 429—What's One More Cubic Inch? http://dlvr.it/T6DSt6 Bringatrailer.com #carsofinstagram #carporn #classiccar

Do you ever feel like The Economist is speaking directly to you? 😳 It might be time for a Fiat 500! Though surely in #Dubai, with all the Toyota Land Cruisers, Nissan Patrols and Ford F-150s zooming up and down Sheikh Zayed Road 10mm behind your back bumper, there is some rational sense of self-preservation in the adage: "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

10x! That's what a high-altitude, high-speed platform can do for your wide area coverage programs. Piston aircraft have long been the workhorses of the #remotesening and #aerialsurvey industries, but with larger programs and high revisit it's worth considering upping the game!

For many buyers, it all looks and feels same... Bombardier Challenger 600, 601-1A, 601-3A, 601-3A-ER, 604, 605 or even the 650... Regardless of its vintage, while cabin features can easily be updated to enhance the passenger comfort, the most valuable part of the plane is in its engines and in the cockpit. That's why it's important to work with a group like Feldberg Aero to find the right aircraft for your budget and mission.
