I'm still processing the incredible experience of having Sam Altman speak in my hometown at Italian Tech Week. Never did I expect such a momentous event to happen right here in Turin. It's truly inspiring to see Italy, and especially Turin, stepping out of the shadows and positioning itself at the forefront of technological innovation. ♉ 🇮🇹🚀 2 key takeaways that resonated with me: 🌞 Energy Revolution: Altman emphasized the critical need for abundant, cheap, clean energy. This is particularly challenging considering the current resources required to train and run AI LLM models. It's clear that a human revolution can only happen hand-in-hand with an energy revolution. 🌍 Technology for Good: This was my favorite point. Altman stressed that our goal should be using technology as an "enabler of good" to improve the human condition and solve global challenges. It's a powerful reminder of the positive impact we can make with technology. The energy and enthusiasm at the Italian Tech Week were palpable. Our goal is to guide and support the integration of the various digital solutions developed by Probono's partners (from scenario management systems to IOT-powered #AI models) so as to meet the needs of Probono's experimentation sites, from Dublin to Madrid.
