🏁 Proud Moment: Leading Innovation in Sustainable Racing! 🚀 I'm thrilled to share the remarkable success of our student racing team at this year's Shell Eco-Marathon competition, under my leadership as team manager and powertrain team head 🏆 and Mohamed Farghal's successive remarkable team managing efforts after my graduation 🔌 Our Custom Electric Vehicle (EV) Secures 1st Place: Through innovative design and engineering, we've achieved a remarkable 1st place victory with our custom-built electric vehicle. 🚗 🌿 Sustainability at the Core: Under my direction, we prioritized efficiency and sustainability. Over 60% of our vehicle components were locally sourced, including an electric powertrain system with a remarkable range 300km per charge. We pioneered the use of recycled agricultural fibers in biodegradable body panels and seats, setting new standards in eco-conscious engineering. 🌱 🛡️ Safety and Performance: Our fully aluminum chassis, expertly optimized for driver safety and light weight, is a testament to our commitment to excellence. Furthermore, our proprietary, power-efficient electric embedded systems were developed entirely in-house, showcasing our team's technical prowess. 💡 📈 2nd Place for Presentation: In addition to our 1st place vehicle win, we secured 2nd place for our presentation. We delved into in-depth analyses of our vehicle design, performance simulations, and key innovations, all made possible by our visionary approach. 📊 🎓 Nurturing Homegrown Talent: This journey has been an invaluable learning experience for our talented students, a testament to the potential cultivated within our ranks. 🌟 🙏 Gratitude and Opportunity: We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our university resources and industry partnerships some of which were QMC, Kefac and Khalaf Bus enabled our success. It was fantastic to meet everyone at our NIIT Learning Leadership Circle yesterday! Here some take-aways I gathered from our presentations and rich discussions: -Trust and transparency are crucial for AI to scale impact and translate into enterprise solutions. -Conversations on Generative AI are becoming more granular and specific, yet the maturity journey may not be that linear. - The possibilities in content development are vast, but it's not just a productivity game. - Generative AI as a real game-changer in L&D requires reimagining learning itself, with transforming our approach on practical skills assessment, personalised coaching at scale, and fast-tracked mastery with democratised access to 'flight simulators', among others... - AI is often a supplement rather than a replacement, providing added value and helping us to solve a problem without being the end goal. - In compliance training, AI offers hope for the convergence of learning and knowledge management, with ultimately less pressure on SMEs and shifting focus to relevance and searchability. - Compliance doesn’t have to be boring! Spaced learning and nudging techniques can make it more digestible and memorable. - All of us are all still on the 'skills journey', at various stages and with significant challenges ahead, in no particular order : >Managing the cultural shift with the need to ensure business stakeholders care >This is vital for 'Skills Sensing' since identifying the future capabilities require input and collaboration from SME's and Business leaders >Skills transformation needs to traverse (transcend?) HR, from strategic workforce planning to upskilling/reskilling strategies. This includes tackling pretty big blocks (blockers?) like job architecture, the actual purposes of skills validation (not always as a test but a way to make learning sticky and adaptive), and deeper integration of skills intelligence tools with learning systems. (On that note, while we were debating this topic, CSOD announced its acquisition of SkyHive!) One question we didn’t have time to dive into deeply was about the role of L&D in AI upskilling across the organisation – perhaps a subject for our next Learning Leadership Circle? Any suggestions? 2024, for Reggane Gas Field Team, it is all about “Level Up!!!”… A lot of us can recreate the feeling of playing a video game and reaching a level where progressing seems impossible.  Excitement is high, frustration builds up with time, perseverance seems to be the gift to move on.  That flat zone of non-improvement resembles the horizon when we move toward it and the line moves away from us thus making us to stop and rethink our strategy. That stage is when we start talking to our friends, share knowledge, discover new things, connect the dots, do trial, and error and find new superpowers. Suddenly, a new pathway to reach that level we earlier thought was impossible becomes a feasible task and as simply as that, we reach one Level Up!!! This was the focus for Repsol Reggane Team during the month of January. 31 days dedicated to multiple interactions, team enrollment, bonding moments, memorable experiences, and conversations to define what is required to navigate the challenges we have in front of us and achieve what today we think is impossible.
