Implementation of comprehensive evaluation open competitive bidding for the FY2024 Semiconductor-related Industry Acceleration Project (Exhibition at exhibitions outside Hokkaido) The Next Generation Semiconductor Strategy Office, Industrial Promotion Bureau, Department of Economic Affairs will conduct a comprehensive evaluation open competitive bidding for the FY2024 Semiconductor-related Industry Acceleration Project (Exhibition at exhibitions outside Hokkaido).<br><br>Commissioned work for the FY2024 Semiconductor-related Industry Acceleration Project aims to promote the location advantages of Hokkaido and attract semiconductor-related industries by exhibiting at exhibitions outside the prefecture. The contract period is from the date of contract signing until Friday, January 31, 2025.<br><br>Interested parties must adhere to the qualifications outlined in Hokkaido Prefectural Notification No. 10845. The deadline for submitting the application for bidder qualification review is Monday, May 27, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. The application can be submitted in person or by mail to the Hokkaido Economic Department, Industrial Promotion Bureau, Next Generation Semiconductor Strategy Office in Sapporo City.<br><br>Deadline for submitting project proposals is Monday, June 3, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Submissions can be made in person or by mail to the same office in Sapporo City. Bidding is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the Hokkaido Prefectural Government Office in Sapporo. Detailed information regarding the bidding process will be provided once participants have been confirmed.<br><br>No pre-briefing session will be held, but questions are welcome. A full set of related documents is available in a ZIP file. The future schedule includes key dates such as the distribution of bidding documents starting on May 15, the deadline for submitting the application form for bidder qualification on May 27, the deadline for project proposal submissions on June 3, and the hearings and bidding on June 11. Can CNPC and Sanyang enter the electric motorcycle market and use homemade batteries to beat Gogoro and Gwangyang? Sanyang and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) have partnered to enter Taiwan's electric motorcycle market, aiming to rival leaders Gogoro and Gwangyang with a new battery swap system. Sanyang's first electric motorcycle, the SYM NX1, is set for launch by year-end, coinciding with the deployment of CNPC's 22 battery-swapping stations in Tainan City. This collaboration began over six years ago with a memorandum of cooperation in 2018. After facing delays due to strategy shifts at CNPC, momentum has picked up under new leadership. With a 40% market share, Sanyang intends to leverage CNPC’s energy capabilities to streamline its entry into the electric vehicle market. CNPC plans to establish battery-swapping stations and initially targets selling 600 motorcycles. They will expand beyond Tainan, learning from existing competitors to reduce risks. However, concerns remain regarding operational efficacy and the reliability of cooperation between Sanyang and CNPC in developing battery systems. The partnership is expected to heighten competition in Taiwan's electric motorcycle sector, potentially leading to standardized practices and establishing an internationally competitive battery-swapping ecosystem. Interesting news from Kushiro, eastern Hokkaido:   Cypress Sunadaya, a major timber company based in Shikoku, a subsidiary of the Obayashi Corporation (Tokyo), is studying the possibility to construct a sawmill on the site of the closed (Sept. 2021) Nippon Paper Industries Kushiro Factory. The plan is to develop the factory on approximately 200,000 square meters of land, using Hokkaido-produced timber as raw material, with the aim of commencing operations in the fiscal year 2027. Thus, the foundry industry event will be held on 24-25|09|2024 in Kielce📅❗ 👉 Having carried out extensive consultations and analysis of the current #foundry market and the industry situation, we have decided to help companies reduce the costs associated with coming to Kielce and participating in the event which has been held for almost three decades... 👉 The exhibition in its shorter, i.e. two-day version will not be to the detriment of the event agenda; this alteration has been done to the favor of the companies that have participated in the expo for years. 👉 We analyzed the last expo, and, together with our partners and exhibitors, we concluded that the first two days were the most popular.
