We've secured a pivotal long-term land lease agreement with the Hanstholm Havn, positioning us just 200 meters from the robust waves of the North Sea and immediately south of the port. This strategic location is essential for the effective development and harnessing of ocean power. Our Wave Energy Converter (WEC), set to be positioned on the seabed 1,000 meters off the coast in 14 meters of water, embodies cutting-edge technology. It features a lightweight 4.6-meter diameter buoyant flap, optimized for maximum energy capture. This device is projected to produce a peak hydraulic power of 100 kW and deliver an average hydraulic output of 35 kW at waves higher than 2 meters. The onshore Hydro Turbine Generator will generate up to 35 kW electrical power to the grid. We've successfully obtained the necessary onshore construction permit from THISTED KOMMUNE, marking a significant milestone. Furthermore, we anticipate receiving the final nod from the Energistyrelsen in the latter half of 2024. The procurement of critical long-lead items is progressing smoothly, alongside our thorough final engineering work. We're also preparing for a critical Factory Acceptance Test at Semco Maritime facilities in Esbjerg, ensuring our technology meets the highest standards. The Hydro Turbine Generator supply is expertly managed by GUGLER Water Turbines GmbH, while JD-Contractor A/S is at the helm of our offshore installation. This project represents a significant step forward in wave energy technology and our dedication to sustainable energy solutions. We're not just building infrastructure; we're paving the way for a renewable future. We eagerly anticipate demonstrating the potential of this project and its impact on the global energy landscape. This project is sponsered by EUDP - Det Energiteknologiske Udviklings- og Demonstrationsprogram Stay tuned for more updates as we ride the waves of progress towards a cleaner, more sustainable future. #wavepower #waveenergy #renewableenergy #blueeconomy
Wave and Tidal energy is a huge resource and not even tapped today... Wishing Exowave success and hope to see more developments shortly!
