When it get warmer, this ice melts and rains down onto the insulation. If there is good air flow in an attic, this may not present as a problem. The key is to prevent moisture vapour from entering the attic area. Attention to detail during the insulation process and sealing up leaks is key. It is a good idea to test the air tightness before installing drywall. Consider hiring a reputable inspector to conduct a thermography inspection coupled with a blower door test! 🚨 Attention Safety and Maintenance Professionals 🚨 The presence of openings in the electrical room poses a serious risk to our facility's safety. 🔍 Why is this a concern? 1- In the event of a fire, these openings could facilitate the spread of flames to adjacent rooms. 2- If the electrical room is equipped with automatic fire suppression system (CO2, FM200), these openings will be compromising the effectiveness of fire suppression system. For these system to work efficiently, the room must be properly sealed. 🛠️ What should be done? 1- All openings in the electrical room must be properly sealed to prevent the spread of fire and ensure the integrity of our fire suppression system. 2- Maintenance and safety teams should conduct regular inspections of the electrical rooms, identify and implement necessary measures to seal any gaps or openings found during the inspection. 3- It's also essential for the projects team to conduct thorough inspections during the construction phase, ensuring that all openings are properly sealed and secured.
