The weekly update from LifeVidya is geared towards engineering a greener planet. A must-see for engineering students and parents who aspire to train their wards to become engineers. Learn for the future, work towards a greener planet. Gratitude, Srividya #careers #careersofthefuture #sustainablecareers #greencouncil #sustainabilitycouncil https://lnkd.in/gbzybknn
In my work with students and parents considering engineering careers, the focus is mostly on computer sciences or telecommunications. The reason is simple, these qualifications gave the best job opportunities to students. With the changing environmental landscape, there is going to be growing need for engineers who work towards a greener planet. This 11 minutes video explains the following about Engineering a Greener Planet: Who are these engineers? What do they need to learn? What do they do? Why are these roles important? What mindsets will help you engineer a greener planet? So if you are considering a career in engineering and want to prepare for careers of the future, this is a must-see for you. Watch it, learn as Mukul Saxena shares his wisdom. Further share this video with your friends and relatives so we do our small bit for a greener planet. Every step counts. Smiles and Gratitude, Srividya #greencareers #green #sustainability #engineers #engineeringcareers #textileengineering #chemicalengineering #environmentalengineering https://lnkd.in/g77bnnJ9

Attention Building Services Engineering Students, Graduates, and Employers! Chris Puttick and I, both Senior Lecturers and Programme Leaders at UWE, are seeking just 180 seconds of your time to complete a brief survey. We are working on an opinion piece for the upcoming CIBSE Technical Symposium 2025. Our presentation is titled: "Are We Meeting the Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors Needed to Build a Building Services Engineer?" Whether you're a current student, recent graduate, or employer in Building Services Engineering, your input is highly valued. The survey is completely anonymous, and your feedback will help shape our research. You do not have to have studied in UWE. Please click one of the links below to participate in the short survey. Del Sol Consulting is celebrating #EngineersWeek #EWeek by giving a huge shoutout to our #Engineers! This week, founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers #NSPE, aims to increase appreciation for engineers and how they positively impact our world. We want to highlight the need for and importance of engineers. Fun fact: Engineers Week coincides with Washington's birthday, as the first president had an engineering background. To our phenomenal engineers, thank you for your dedication and expertise! We asked our engineers: Why did you choose to pursue a career in engineering? Which of the skills do you believe are most important to being an engineer? #WelcometotheFuture #EngineersWeek2024 #EWeek2024 #ChemicalEngineering

Celebrating Engineers Week 2024! 🎉 We caught up with our engineers to explore how they make a difference in the world and why students should dive into the engineering path. Nicholas Erimias, Construction Engineer, shared, "Engineers make a difference in our world by solving problems, innovating tech, ensuring safety, and addressing global challenges." Tyler Beck, Safety Engineer, explained, "Students should explore an engineering path because of the broad variety of job availability. There are many different types of engineers, and companies are constantly in demand for them. Another reason is the gratification of solving problems to create a better work environment." Welcome to the future of innovation and impact! 🌐🔧 #NEP #VINCIConstructionUSA #AttitudeandExecution #BuildYourFuture #WelcomeToTheFuture #NSPE #EWEEK2024 #EngineerWeek #WhatEngineersDo #innovation #EngineersWeek #FutureInEngineering"

Time to meet another one of our fantastic students, Xavier Klee, who shares a little about what it's like being a student at UNSW School of Chemical Engineering. 1. Which area of Chemical Engineering interests you the most and what drew you to this field of study initially? Both process engineering and renewable energy are fields that I find particularly interesting. Last summer, I worked in Wollongong as an Undergraduate Process Engineer at BlueScope. I found the work to be extremely rewarding due to the problem-solving nature of process engineering, which requires deep analytical skills. Renewable energy is another field I find fascinating due to its constant technological innovation and ever-growing environmental importance. It was actually a course I completed last year on green hydrogen, which really kickstarted my passion for sustainability, a passion I’ve since explored through hydrogen research projects and interning at Licella, a start-up looking to commercialise their technology for converting waste into valuable products such as fuels. 2. What do you consider the key benefits of studying Chemical Engineering at UNSW? I’d say the greatest benefit would be the breadth of extra-curricular activities on offer. Within the School of Chemical Engineering, there’s extra curriculars such as Sunswift Racing or Taste of Research, both of which allowed me to further explore my interest in sustainable solutions. More broadly, life at UNSW is vibrant and varied, whether that be representing UNSW at UniSport Nationals or making friends through a plethora of different societies. 3. What are your career aspirations and goals after completing your studies? Given my interest in process engineering and renewable energy, I’d love to land a role in either field or one that even combines both. Irrespective of where I end up, studying Chemical Engineering at UNSW has equipped me with problem-solving, leadership, and collaboration skills that will enable me to thrive across a multitude of different industries. #unsw #unswengineering #UNSWChemEng Sign up for our Mailing list: https://lnkd.in/ggr93BE4 Follow us online: https://lnkd.in/gKw_3QeS
