🔴 #Bangladesh | Islamic Relief is preparing to distribute aid in Bangladesh as Cyclone Hamoon intensifies, with predictions that it will shortly make landfall. Islamic Relief teams in Bangladesh are on standby and preparing to respond to the potential impacts of Cyclone Hamoon, particularly in Ukhiya Rohingya refugee camps. Based on predictions, we are expecting to focus our response on providing hygiene items and shelters to affected families, as well as food and safe drinking water.

On today's World Water Day, I share with you my report on African Change Narrative Story: "For a community where residents, for decades, had hitherto relied on water from ponds, streams and rivers for their daily needs, clean safe potable water right in their domain is a dream they never had. The only thing that was close to it was when it rains." It is being a whirlwind world cup thus far and don't get me wrong I love the results and the upsets, but like any great coach I love more the heroes or in this case the heroine’s journey. The call for a ceasefire between Israel and Gaza must come with an equally urgent call for the release of all hostages held by Hamas. It's essential to empathize and consider if our own loved ones were kidnapped. We must also acknowledge the realities on the ground: 1. Gaza has been self-governing since the Israeli disengagement in 2005. 2. Most Arab residents in the West Bank have autonomy under the Palestinian Authority. 3. Within Israel, Arab citizens have equal rights under the law and participate in a democratic process. While recognizing these points, which demonstrate that the slogan "FreePalestine" is irrelevant and even misleading, the overarching goal remains clear: to end the conflict. We urge demonstrations for the release of hostages, reflecting the same urgency we would demand if our family were imperiled. It's a natural response for any nation to defend its citizens and seek the safe return of those taken.
