We are still navigating the aftermath of Paris 2024 and we already have news for the next Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028: BREAKING, a debutant in Paris but which failed to stay in the Olympics, comes out, and SQUASH and FLAG FOOTBALL enter, a sport with many similarities with American Football in a more accessible version with less physical contact. Three more sports will be back: BASEBALL which was in Barcelona in 1992, SOFTBALL, a variant of Baseball played in a much smaller area and, finally, CRICKET which was only present in Paris 1900! The news continues, World Athletics and the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games have made a striking change to the first week's schedule, placing athletics at the forefront of the upcoming Olympic Games. This change is expected to further captivate the public and highlight the commitment to innovation in athletics. Now that we know all this and it won't be until 2028 that we have FUTSAL, considered the fourth most practiced sport in the world, and ROLLER HOCKEY, a sport much appreciated in Latin countries, only invited as an exhibition sport in Barcelona 1992, will Brisbane 2032 invite and establish these modalities in the Olympics? #Olympics #LA28 #Brisbane2032 #PROPLAYER #Sports

As I watched the Paris Olympics on Sunday, I noticed a striking similarity in two different sports that sits well with business and corporate as well. Badminton Men's Semifinals: Lakshya Sen had 3 set points but couldn't close it out, as reigning champion Viktor Axelsen displayed remarkable composure and grit. Tennis Men's Final: The energetic Carlos Alcaraz faltered in high-pressure tiebreakers, losing 7-6, 7-6 to the veteran Novak Djokovic. Both matches highlighted how the seasoned players managed to excel in high-pressure moments, demonstrating the invaluable advantage of experience and the knack of having been in such situations over extended periods of time. While the calm and calculated approach of these veterans led them to triumph, it’s crucial to also recognize the relentless energy, hunger & innovation brought by the younger athletes. Alcaraz and Sen showed incredible talent and promise, proving that the exuberance of youth can challenge even the most experienced. In business, as in sports, both experience and youthful vigor are vital. Experience brings a strategic edge in critical situations, while youthful enthusiasm drives innovation and fresh perspectives. Olympic Sports 2021 Balls by Size and Weight. Table tennis has the smallest sports ball used in the Tokyo Olympics at just 4cm in diameter and 2.7g in weight. The biggest by size is the basketball at 24.35cm in diameter, but the shot is more than 10 times heavier at 7.26kg.

The next FIBA 3x3 Universality Qualifying Tournament will be in Utsunomiya, Japan, in May, with the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament set for May 16 to 19 in Debrecen, Hungary. Additionally, the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series 2024 has just tipped off and the FIBA 3x3 World Tour will do so on April 27." 👉My opinion, this is the year of consolidation: 2024. The strategy should pay attention in the economic impact in order to leverage actions to promote the discipline and establish competitive salaries. Maximize revenue in the almost 30 major events therefore this 2024 would prove the financial viability and profitable sport everywhere. Focus on young talents 💫 (knowing that the average age of the top 30 players is over 30y.o) that avoids a gap in the generational transition. As the Olympic Games are being held this year in Paris, I thought it would be interesting to explore how the Olympians earn their chance at gold, silver, or bronze. It turns out that, just like in the world of finance, the path to the Olympics is paved with strategic planning, diligent effort, and a fair bit of competitive spirit. Paris 2024 Olympic Games Paris 2024 will be held from 26 July to 11 August of this year and will include Aquatics, Athletics, and Boxing. New categories like breaking (as in break-dancing, I kid you not) will grace the games, as over 10,000 athletes from over 200 countries compete in 306 medal events. The Right Stuff? When it comes to qualifying, each sport has a different metric by which they judge. Some are based on individual performances, others on the collective strength of national teams. Sports like shooting and taekwondo offer quotas for places earned by individual athletes, which helps prevent a small number of countries from dominating any event. However, even then, the final say on who fills those quota places lies with the athlete's respective National Olympic Committees (NOCs). Dream Teams In team sports, nations secure their spots through performances in World Championships, continental competitions, or global qualifiers. This rigorous selection process ensures only the highest-performing athletes represent their countries on the international stage, making each event a (hopefully) thrilling spectacle of skill and sportsmanship. Instead, a tournament system has emerged to accommodate the long driving distances between teams. 𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆, 𝒕𝒘𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒋𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒔 𝒊𝒏: 1. Boston and New York are approximately 345 kilometers (214 miles) apart, which equals about 4 hours of driving. 2. San Francisco and Los Angeles are roughly 615 kilometers (382 miles) apart, translating to about 6 hours of driving. The distance between New York City and Los Angeles is approximately 2,800 miles (4,506 kilometers) by road, and it takes about 41 to 45 hours to drive. By air, the 2,450-mile (3,940-kilometer) flight takes about 5 to 6 hours. These distances make regular weekly matches between amateur teams impractical; thus, tournaments are a more viable solution for competitive play. 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆: With tournaments held only every 2-3 months, this sporadic schedule hampers the development of highly skilled talent, limiting the readiness of players for international competition beyond North America.
