🐎 When you think Spring Racing, do you think Spritz? 🍹
With more consumers looking for lighter, refreshing options during events like Spring Carnival, it's no surprise that Spritz is quickly becoming the drink of choice. Whether it’s the warm weather, long days of celebration, or simply keeping it light in full racing attire, Spritz ticks all the boxes!
This year, we’ve proudly partnered with four standout Victorian #venues to deliver activations that put Riot #Spritz front and centre. It’s a competitive market, with global heavyweights vying for attention, but for a local brand like Riot Wine Co to be featured alongside industry icons like CHANDON from Moët Hennessy is a huge achievement. It shows that #innovation, #passion, and smart activation can disrupt the market—even against the biggest players. A rising tide really does raise all ships!
If you're heading to the #races and want to kick off your day with something light and refreshing, pop into Platform 28 (Docklands), Mail Exchange Hotel (CBD), Hotel Brighton (Brighton), or Cargo Bar (Docklands) and grab a Riot Spritz Cooler!
We’re proud to be part of this moment, and look forward to seeing #Melbourne#Hospitality thrive over #Spring!

Did you know that the Best Gin in Britain was made in Stockport?
Meet Paul Sharrocks. Founder, owner and gin connoisseur of Stockport Gin in the heart of our town centre.
He met his wife Cheryl on a cold, wet weekend in 2006 watching Stockport County. They both shared a love for gin and decided to crack on with a passion project together, learning the ropes of distilling and flavour combinations.
Fast forward to now, and their business is attracting buyers to the shop, earning awards for the gin, and enrolling ‘students’ in their very own Gin School school upstairs.
Still in need of a (very) last minute Christmas gift for someone you like a lot?
If you fancy buying a bottle of something special or even a gin-making experience, Paul and Cheryl have enough for everyone to get excited about.
Find them at 19B St. Petersgate.

In March 2024, Diageo reopened the Port Ellen Distillery on Islay, Scotland, after a 40-year closure. This revival was part of a £185 million investment that also included the restoration of the Brora Distillery.
The restored Port Ellen Distillery features two sets of copper pot stills: replicas of the original stills, known as "The Phoenix Stills," producing the classic smoky spirit, and a new pair called "The Experimental Stills," designed for innovative whisky production. The facility also includes an on-site laboratory to support whisky experimentation and analysis.
The reopening of Port Ellen and the establishment of the Diageo Luxury Group reflect Diageo's commitment to preserving whisky heritage while driving innovation and catering to the luxury spirits market.

Australia’s leading beverages company Asahi Beverages has entered a landmark new partnership with the Australian Turf Club.
Under a multi-year deal, the partnership will see punters cheer on a winner at some of Australia’s best racedays, such as The TAB Everest and TAB Golden Slipper, while enjoying alcohol beverages including Asahi Super Dry, Balter, 4Pines, Vodka Cruiser and popular mid-strength offerings such as Great Northern Super Crisp. In a separate but related deal, race-goers will also be able to enjoy beverages from Asahi’s non-alcohol range including Schweppes, Pepsi Max, Cool Ridge water and much more.
“We’re excited about the new partnership with Asahi Beverages and their strong brand portfolio. Imagine you walk into a restaurant for the first time.
What will make you come back a SECOND time?
Usually one or more of these reasons:
1. Great people - happy, smiling, positive, great service.
2. Outstanding products - fresh, tasty food, served well.
3. Realistic costs - costs that are appropriate to the experience, the food, the location.
4. The "feel" - the vibe, the environment.
5. Leaving with a sense that they "got" you - and you'd be happy to come back.
Now replace the word RESTAURANT with FOOTBALL CLUB or TENNIS CLUB or SWIMMING CLUB.
Do you have great people, outstanding products, realistic costs, a great environment and do you make people feel like they belong and want to come back?
If not - and you want your Club to grow - ask yourself how you can put into practice what every good restaurant owner knows.

Thinking Outside the Box: Wineries, Ski Lodges, Farms, and Driving Ranges as Alternative Real Estate Ventures
As interest rates remain consistently high, and the Federal Reserve opts for a hands-off approach amidst stubborn inflation, many real estate investors are exploring unconventional avenues to generate profits.
Vacation homes that operate year-round have emerged as a lucrative option, often yielding triple the returns of regular rentals. However, the competition in this space is fierce, and reliance on a full booking calendar can be stressful.
Fortunately, lesser-known real estate assets also hold promise for savvy investors. Let's delve into a few of these alternatives.
Wineries:
Investing in wineries is no longer exclusive to celebrities or tech moguls, and it extends beyond California's Napa Valley. While California dominates wine production in the U.S., states like New York, Pennsylvania, and Oregon also produce quality wine. However, purchasing an operational winery requires substantial capital and industry connections.
Ski Resorts and Vacation Homes:
Investing in ski resort towns offers high-income potential during the ski season and attracts outdoor enthusiasts in the summer. While upscale ski resorts can be pricey, opportunities exist in less-expensive regions like Maine, Pennsylvania, and Oregon.
Driving Ranges:
Modern golf driving ranges such as Topgolf and Drive Shack present lucrative investment prospects. Unlike traditional golf courses, driving ranges operate year-round, catering to golfers of all skill levels and offering additional amenities like food service.
Franchising:
Franchising options like Topgolf provide opportunities for high returns, albeit with significant initial investments. These franchises eliminate the need for dealing with tenants but require intensive management.
