Having entered a new year provides a natural time of reflection for many of our colleagues across the world. We have asked some of them how they experienced 2023 and what they expect for the coming year. This is what Allyson Traver, Operational Excellence Manager at our US Road division, has to say: 🔹 What will you remember 2023 for? “While this past year has been difficult due to challenges in the industry, it also enabled me and my colleagues to focus on building a robust foundation for sustainable and strategic growth in our US Road operations. Volatility in the market has pushed our need to adapt, embrace technology and innovate to best serve our customers.” 🔹 What has been your biggest challenge and success in 2023? “I’m heavily involved with optimising our internal processes and improving operational accountability. Launching this project last year was both a welcome challenge and a great success. What started as a regional support entity has developed into a nation-wide programme. This has significantly increased our opportunities to learn from one another and identify areas where improvement is needed. On a more personal note, I’m immensely proud to have made the transition from directly handling operations to supporting others by establishing operational standards and processes – all while having a baby boy in June of 2023.” 🔹 What are you looking forward to the most in 2024? “I look forward to further fine-tuning our abilities and processes, and I’m eager to expand upon our L&D offerings for our operators, providing a new training programme. I also expect that sustainability within road freight will continue to be an important factor.
