Project Groundwater is funded by Defra as part of the £200 million Flood and Coastal Innovation Programmes which is managed by the Environment Agency. The programmes will drive innovation in flood and coastal resilience and adaptation to a changing climate. This Mid-programme summary highlights the innovations and challenges in achieving flood and coastal resilience, adaptation, and coastal transition at the mid-point of the Flood and coastal innovation programmes (FCIP). The overall goal of the SB 1 Grant Program is to provide funding for local, regional, and tribal governments to develop sea level rise (SLR) adaptation plans and projects to build resilience to SLR along the entire coast of California and San Francisco Bay.
