Unlike conventional models, these innovative structures oscillate in response to wind vortices rather than spinning blades. This design not only simplifies manufacturing and installation but also significantly reduces maintenance needs and costs—up to 40% less than traditional systems! By leveraging vortex-induced vibrations, bladeless turbines can capture wind energy efficiently while being lightweight and easy to install. However, the development is still at the nascent stage and requires further research. Bladeless wind turbines definitely has certain Pros like: -Lower Installation Costs due to lightweight design. -High Space Efficiency compared to traditional turbines. -Wildlife Friendly due to fewer moving parts. -Simple Maintenance with no gears or bearings. But currently the technology has clear drawbacks in terms of: -Currently less effective at converting wind energy into electricity. -Higher upfront investment despite lower operational costs. -Performance varies significantly with atmospheric changes. -Not implemented at a large scale and currently suitable only for small scale urban requirements.
