Pancake Log: Week 1 I start my new role in partner marketing by discovering that Bill Gates published a scientific paper to resolve the “pancake problem.” It’s a maths conundrum about how many flips to tidy a stack of pancakes btw. So, what better way to embrace my new colleagues and partners by asking them about their favourite pancake topping? Such is the warmth and welcome from everyone so far, that I owe many a pancake when we next meet in-person! If you allow me the metaphor, my transition has been nothing short of a fantastic stack of pancakes. Each layer of support and guidance making my onboarding smooth and enjoyable. To express my gratitude, I’d like to draw a fun metaphor between our team dynamics and our favourite toppings: 🥞 Maple syrup: The classic. A great link to the richness of the collaboration between Capgemini and Microsoft and what we can bring to our clients. I sense this sweetness will be the foundation that will enhance many of our programs and campaigns in FY25. 🍫 Chocolate spread: No pancake conversation is complete without chocolate. Ranging from Nutella and chocolate sprinkles, to dark chocolate powder – this adds a rich, indulgent flavour. Just like the deep, rewarding partnerships we build with our clients and partners, making our work deeply satisfying. 🍓 Strawberries and cream: A fresh and uplifting perspective. An ideal way for us to approach our joint mission and upcoming opportunities! Other choices included blueberries. Perhaps a reflection on the healthy balance we must deploy in our marketing strategies. 🍯 Manuka honey: Not the first to come to mind because of its rarity. When one of my Microsoft stakeholders likes this, I know we’re talking about a high-grade approach to the projects we take on together. It means I’m looking forward to a collaboration that will be more than just ordinary… Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. Two years already with vFairs! 🙌 I have achieved so much here over the past year, made some amazing friends, and had lots of fun. - Made email marketing my thing this year - developing email campaigns for event promotions, newsletters, product launches, and lead nurture. - Ideated an all-new top-of-the-funnel email newsletter to target marketing contacts in our CRM. Improved open rates to 35% over the first quarter 👀 but proud to have created a brand-new email tone for our brand - Wrote long-form and short-form blogs that are consistently ranking #1 on SERP 👏 (bagged a few featured snippets along the way) - Got the "Force of Nature" award at our annual fiesta - Dabbled with product evangelism by creating knowledge base articles and product blogs - Enabled our team's expert sales executives with speaker presentations for tradeshows and exhibitions around the world 📢 - Edited TONS of content! - Analysed content through SEO tools, competitor analysis, and SERP analysis to figure out content gaps - Immersed myself deeply in product messaging, taking training and workshops on a regular basis - Travelled with my co-workers furthest up North that I had ever been! 🏔 More to come!

How is it a new quarter again? It’s almost like they come along every three months …. It’s such an enjoyable thing to take a moment and take stock of what was achieved over a quarter, as it can be easy to feel like you could have done more. What I have come to realise is that as a fast moving and nimble agency I have to actually be careful not to burn the team out with too much continuous improvement. So one of my goals this quarter was to focus on closing the loop of previous initiatives and taking stock of how well they are working and any last tweaks we need to make to them. ☑️ Redeveloped our extensive marketing strategy design template (which then also meant some changes to the format) - our starting point for all our bespoke marketing strategies ☑️ Held over 60 clients to ensure we're all working towards the same marketing goals ☑️ Marked the occasion of the 5th work anniversary of our Head of Marketing Strategy Alyssa Brault (one of the most switched on marketers I have ever met!) ☑️ Helped coordinate and then emceed a Business Hunter sales enablement (sold out) event with Fabio Pancaldi from HubSpot ☑️ Celebrated with our clients who were named as finalists in a heap of award categories - and then celebrated harder when some of them won! ☑️ Had a blast at Drag Bingo with Timberlina to mark the start of the new financial year ☑️ Turned the cameras on ourselves and had our annual team photo shoot. ☑️ Toasted to some significant business anniversaries for our clients - 10 years, 15 years, 30 years - and started preparing for some big occasions that will be marked in 2025 ☑️ Held two team training and meeting days, where we upskilled, brainstormed, learnt from each other, as well as had some fun culture building activities (the puzzles almost broke us ...) ☑️ Two of our team started the Seed People Consulting StepAdvantage Leadership program ☑️ We attended 12 networking and professional development events That's obviously not everything, but it's a nice overview of what has kept us busy. 🎯 We're now in the last quarter of the year, so the focus will be keeping the momentum through to the end of the year. 🎯
