🍫 Sapevi che il cioccolato è uno degli alimenti più inquinanti della nostra alimentazione?
🤔 Ebbene sì, anche noi lo abbiamo scoperto di recente grazie al nostro ultimo ospite, Riccardo Bottiroli, che è un tecnologo alimentare e uno dei co-founder di Foreverland Food.
🤯 Pensa che per produrre solo 1kg di cioccolato servono 24.000 litri di acqua, e che dopo la carne e il formaggio quello della produzione di cioccolato è il settore alimentare che genera più co2.
🙌 Fondata insieme a Massimo Sabatini, Giuseppe D'Alessandro e Massimo Brochetta, Foreverland è un’azienda #foodtech che produce cioccolato senza cacao utilizzando la carruba, una pianta che cresce nel mediterraneo anche in zone aride e che quindi non necessita di molta acqua.
🚀 Oggi la startup ha annunciato la chiusura di un round da 3.4 milioni di euro, da un ampio gruppo di investitori, tra cui Grey Silo Ventures, Eatable Adventures, Kost Capital, CDP Venture Capital SGR, Exor Ventures, 2100 Ventures, Ulixes Capital Partners, Newland Syndicate, Moonstone ed altri investitori strategici nel settore alimentare.
🇮🇹 Riccardo è un tecnologo alimentare che ha passato la maggior parte della sua carriera in Olanda, presso uno dei centri di ricerca alimentare più importanti in Europa. Il legame con l’Italia però non l’ha mai abbandonato e infatti Foreverland è una società italiana con sede in provincia di Bari.
💪 Nella puntata ha condiviso con noi non solo il suo percorso ma anche tante novità del foodtech che probabilmente tra qualche anno vedremo sulle nostre tavole. Abbiamo parlato di carne in 3D, proteine delle uova prodotte senza le uova, e persino di proteine aeree, cioè fatte con l’aria!
