As a founding member of the @Alliance to End Plastic Waste, this #worldcleanupday 2023 we are proud of the accomplishments outlined in the AEPW latest progress report for 2022. In addition, Formosa Plastics Texas partnered with the City of Point Comfort, TX to begin a local recycling program, supplying recycling bins and curbside pickup. Thus far, 6,860 pounds of material has been recycled since the launch of the program in June 2023. FPC TX has also funded the conversion of the local recycling center into a transfer station for the entirety of Calhoun County, to increase the amount of recyclable material that can be collected and diverted from the landfill. Our commitment to these initiatives aligns with several United Nation’s sustainable development goals, such as; (11) Sustainable Cities and Communities, (14) Life Below Water, (15) Life on Land, and (17) Partnerships for the Goals. #catalysingimpact #worldcleanupday2023

Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. is excited to share that our Baton Rouge PVC facility has completed Phase I of their solar panel project for the administrative building onsite. The installation has the capacity to generate 350 kWh annually, exceeding the building's energy needs and allowing us to contribute surplus clean energy to the grid. Other areas of the site are exploring solar panel installations, as well. This project complements our two existing solar installations at our New Jersey Headquarters, which has the capacity to generate 94% of our energy consumed from renewable resources, and a solar project at our packaging facility in Lolita, Texas. Projects bolstering clean energy support United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) such as (7) Affordable and Clean Energy and (9) Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
