🚀 Exciting Update from ZEBOX Caribbean! 🌴 This week ZEBOX Caribbean hosted the "Tech For Future - Rethinking Tech" event by La Tribune and it was a success! Formerly known as "10,000 Startups to Change the World," this renowned competition has evolved to spotlight innovations across key domains. Tech for Future, organized by La Tribune, is France's premier tech event, gathering top experts to scout startups tackling the economic, societal, and climatic challenges of the next decade. Here are a few highlights: 🌟 Quest for Innovation: The competition focuses on key domains including Smart Tech, Health, Data & AI, Environment and Energy, Future Industry, and Startups. La Tribune has received nearly 800 applications, with 200 outstanding candidates selected to pitch before regional juries. 🌍 Regional Showdown: With 3-4 candidates per category per region, including Toulouse, Bordeaux, Lyon, Nantes, Paris, Strasbourg, Lille, and digitally covering the Caribbean, Pacific, and Indian Ocean, the competition is fierce and the innovation is boundless. 💡 Insightful Speakers: This event featured thought-provoking talks from industry leaders including: Sylvain Rolland, Isabelle Richard, @Daphné Lora, Philippe POGGI, and representatives of BNP Paribas Antilles Guyane. Exiting events continue - next week on Monday I will facilitate a workshop on EBAN - European Business Angel Network annual congress in Tallinn: Beyond Borders, Beyond Barriers: Unlocking Startup Funding in the EU. As angels we face various challenges when funding startups: is there enough funding available, are there rules limiting investment into startups, should there be government co-funding to de-risk angel investments, are there special needs for deep-techs', are the defence startups next hype and much more. At the same time, there’s a growing hungry pipeline full of opportunities! I'm excited to find out what Nina Dremelj (Slovenia), Roberta Rudokiene (Lithuania), Cyril Golub (Latvia), and Tiina Laisi-Puheloinen (Finland) will bring on table from Investment Ecosystem Roundtables held just before the congress.
