Last week Padmaja spoke at a ‘Together with #T1D’ event in #Jaipur, #Rajasthan, India, organized by the National Health Mission, the Government of Rajasthan’s Directorate of Medical and Health Services, and the William J. Clinton Foundation, to highlight the alarming increase in #diabetes and other chronic diseases in #India over recent years. The goal of the seminar was to emphasize the commitment to tackling non-communicable diseases (NCDs) through better treatment, prevention, and public awareness. Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar discussed the importance of this initiative and how it’s imperative to improve the large medical infrastructure to provide better #health services to increase activities that the general public can be motivated to adopt preventive health measures. Joint Director Dr. Sunil Singh, Chief Medical and Health Officer Jaipur, Dr. Hansraj, Director Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur, along with other medical experts and representatives were also present to support.
