Are you closing emails but leaving the door wide open? I'm working through modules in Matthew Volkwyn's Copy Base Camp. One of the exercises is to analyse email closes, specifically the transition and close (call to action). It's been quite eye-opening to see how many emails have a link to click, as a CTA but all they give their readers is a "click the link". No instructions on what will happen when they take action. No real benefits of taking the action. No urgency of why doing it now is a good idea. The thing is... We all need a reason to do things, whether cleaning our teeth so they don't fall out or parting with our cash to improve our lives. So, if you want to make more sales, making it crystal clear why and how your readers can buy could make all the difference.

In her book "Sales Pitch: How to Craft a Story to Stand Out and Win," April Dunford emphasizes the significance of a successful discovery conversation. This conversation ensures that both buyers and sellers are in sync regarding the actual problem, the evaluation criteria for solutions, and the expected benefits of an ideal solution. For product marketers and other marketing professionals, integrating discovery into marketing content, campaigns, and events is crucial. This requires a deep comprehension of the potential customer's unique pain points, challenges, and circumstances.

I went back and forth about having a Juneteenth Sale because I wasn’t clear on how to position or create copy that truly embodies everything that’s important on this day of celebration. Yes, we have President Day sales and Memorial Day sales but today just hits differently. So this is what I can do: I will create offers for anyone that sends me a message expressing interest. It will look like this: STEP 1: Understand that I help people create, position and monetize their expertise STEP 2: Message me STEP 3: Feel good about not having to invest $2,500 which is my most junior pricing Also, if you are able to rest today please do so because rest is a revolutionary act
