This is another way of showing how it can be for people living with parkinsons and just show you have it, but you are continuing your life and you are doing the things you love and just getting that warm feeling from people in return. And that path has opened Michael J Fox again, our hero! And that after 33 years since he got the diagnosis. What an amazing guy! So much RESPECT!

But now… why Johanna’s Vision?
Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid, is 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine. It has become a leading cause of overdose deaths in the U.S., with over hundreds of thousands dying from drug overdoses in 2023 alone, and fentanyl being a primary contributor. The urgency to address this crisis cannot be overstated.
What is Johanna’s Vision?
Johanna’s Vision is more than just a game. It is an educational tool that leverages the power of game-based learning to create a meaningful impact. By immersing players in engaging and interactive gameplay, we aim to:
- Raise Awareness: Educate the public about the dangers of fentanyl and the opioid crisis.
- Foster Empathy: Through compelling storytelling, help players understand the human side of this crisis.
- Promote Prevention: Provide valuable resources and information on prevention and support.
Why Game-Based Learning?
Game-based learning has been shown to increase engagement and retention by up to 90%. It transforms education into an interactive and enjoyable experience, making complex topics more accessible and understandable. At TGA we are pioneers in using this innovative approach to tackle critical social issues.

FightMND and PharmAust have teamed up to complete their Ph1 Monepantel trial. So hold onto your seats for the results to be announced NEXT WEEK where the data is highly anticipated to back up the astonishing survival rate of trial participants. Statistically, there is less than a 1 in 1000 probability the 12 brave patients would still be here today. They all continue on Monepantal and they do this by swallowing pills every day.
If the statistical data matches the stunning results in survivability & tolerability - this will be world news and a potential major breakthrough for ALS / MND. Particularly with two of the current standard of care drugs under a cloud (and note, sadly there are only 4 drugs approved).
What is more exciting is that FightMND are considering getting equity in PharmAust to not just support the trail through grants but to be part owners the solution. Wouldn't that be something very special with success looking very likely.
There is potential that, on completion of this next trial, the drug could be on the market and available to patients in Europe, USA and Australia. Wow! Maybe even sooner if approved in some countries.
Next week is also Rare Diseases Day (29 Feb 24) so take a few minutes to do your own research. Monepantel could be a game changer in the broader neurological disease space tomorrow.
