Cell/Gene Therapy problem solver, Flow Cytometrist, Assay Validator, and Immunology/Sales enthusiast
Here's a post I'd hoped never to have to make. After more than 2 amazing years at Slingshot Biosciences, my position (along with an unfortunate number of amazing coworkers) was eliminated in a #strategicreorganization. While still shocked about the #layoff, I am intensely proud of what we accomplished against incredible odds. I could not have asked for a better environment to grow into my first commercial role and am so grateful to the many awesome people who made my time at Slingshot such a joy. I learned so much about #flowcytometry, #celltherapy, #biologics, #mRNAvaccines, #analyticaldevelopment, #startups, and most importantly how much I loved working with our many wonderful clients, collaborators, and friends. One skill I developed at Slingshot for situations like this is to take a deep breath, identify my goals, prioritize the next steps, and move forward. As such I’m now #opentowork and am looking for #sales, #businessdevelopment, #scientificaffairs, #applicationscience, or similar roles where I can use my #passion for flow cytometry, #immunology, and #science to support cutting-edge cures. If you’ve stayed with me this far and want to help, thank you! Here’s how: 1. If we had positive interactions, please make a recommendation on my profile highlighting what you enjoyed about our time together so future colleagues can get a clearer picture of what I have to offer. 2. If you know of a role that might be a fit for me or any of my affected colleagues, please send it my way. 3. Check out my profile on biobuzz.io or my AMA (see below). 4. Keep an eye out for my upcoming blog/newsletter covering topics in assay development, cytometry, and whatever else I find interesting. 5. Keep in touch! One of the best parts of my time at Slingshot was meeting all of you awesome people. Thank you for reading; I know something amazing is waiting out there for me and I look forward to finding it! https://lnkd.in/eyhz3vvC

We are excited to collaborate with Sapient to accelerate the next generation of their Human Biology Database. This partnership will enhance the ingestion and homogenization of multi-omics and real-world data, driving deeper insights for biomarker discovery and drug development. “Integrated multi-omics data is crucial for the future of drug development, revealing the complex molecular interactions that influence disease,” said Tao Long, Co-Founder and Head of Data Science at Sapient. “Our partnership with Rancho Biosciences will enable us to add more types of omics data efficiently, increasing the speed, versatility, and depth of our analyses.” We are eager to leverage our expertise to support Sapient in delivering data-driven insights for precision medicine. #LifeSciences #DataScience #MultiOmics #BiomarkerDiscovery #DrugDevelopment #PrecisionMedicine #Innovation #Healthcare #RanchoBiosciences #Sapient #Partnership #realworlddata #RWD
We are excited to share that we've partnered with Rancho BioSciences to accelerate the next generation of our Human Biology Database. Rancho will support a data infrastructure expansion to both accelerate the ingestion of additional #multiomics and real-world data and to homogenize this new data with the rich datasets that already exist. See how the collaboration will help to increase the breadth and depth of multidimensional insights we can deliver to inform #drugdevelopment. https://lnkd.in/gpyNWnUe

𝐀𝐃𝐇𝐃 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐀 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚? As a neurologist at Bonn University Hospital, I’m studying how 𝐀𝐃𝐇𝐃-related impulsivity affects 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 in trading and investing. Traits like inattention may significantly impact financial behavior, and this area deserves more attention. Thanks to Raphael Steil and the getquin community, I’ve received incredible support and thoughtful input on this topic. It’s rarely discussed in finance, but the openness of this community is inspiring. 💬 If you’re involved in finance, your insights could make a difference—and you might win a year of getquin Premium! 😊 👉link below: https://lnkd.in/eHUVt75U

CO-LABS is proud to announce we've joined the The Bayh-Dole Coalition - diverse group of innovation-oriented organizations and individuals committed to celebrating and protecting the Bayh-Dole Act, as well as informing policymakers and the public of its many benefits. Why would CO-LABS care about the Bayh-Dole Act? The Bayh-Dole Act revolutionized technology transfer as it allowed universities, small businesses, and nonprofits to capitalize on their research and turn their discoveries into viable consumer products. By ensuring that academic institutions and companies would own inventions they make with government-support, Senators Bayh and Dole spurred the transformation of laboratory discoveries into new products benefitting the American taxpayer — and citizens throughout the world. We join numerous similarly-missioned organizations and institutions in the Coalition such as CSU STRATA, Venture Partners at CU Boulder, and AUTM; also on their Advisory Board is former Director of NIST Dr. Walter Copan, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer at the Colorado School of Mines. We look forward to working with the Coaltion on issues of mutual interest to advance the brilliant discoveries coming from our member labs and the research ecosystem in Colorado.
